I bought an inexpensive older laptop on sale that didn't have enough storage AND bought this. Had Geek Squad take out the older hard drive and replace with this SSD. Now I have the ultimate laptop for the camper -- can fill with downloaded movies and trip picture. Perfect alternative to carrying around my more expensive laptop.

I have now installed 4 or 5 of these SSDs in various computers for friends and family. They bench almost as fast as my Samsung 850 Pro and have a decent warranty. Also, because SanDisk is owned by Western DIgital, you can use the WD version of Acronis to clone your existing drive. Much easier than buying separate cloning software.

I installed a fresh install of Windows 10 really fast. The SSD was recognized and loaded the operating system in under 10 minutes.

This is one of the best SSD's and the price is getting better all the time. My only reason for giving it 4 stars is that, unlike Samsung, it doesn't have it's own transfer software.

This thing rocks... totally tubular dude! By the way, where is the "DUDE YOUR GETTING A DELL"??? Not today... got me a SAMSUNG... DUDE! Drive works as needed. By the time I press the on button and sit down my system is already bugging me to logon to browse stupid stuff on pinterest. Ready for a distration... webpage after another.

My seven year old MacBook Pro had been displaying the dreaded spinning beach ball for a while. Apps slow to load as well as documents. After preforming a carbon copy of my factory drive, I replaced it with this new SSD. The copy process took about 7 hrs but the wait was well worth it. My MacBook boots so fast and apps open without issues.

I recently installed this SSD in my old laptop and its a difference of night and day in performance. Its seems like my laptop got new life and I'm sure I could use it for few more years. Both reading and writing speeds are great.

Awesome speed great load time for the price nice size

I used 2 of these to prolong the life of our laptops in the office for teaching. The old hard disc drives were on their last legs but everything else was fine. Swapped the drives and the laptops work like new. Took about 10 minutes plus the time to install windows. Maybe 45 minutes all together. Well worth it.

This SSD drive works great, much better than the other one that I had. It doesn’t crash and fastly approved the Start up speed on my 2011 MBP

Following the advice of the Geek Squad members at the store we replaced our hard drive which now allows our home computer to function faster and more efficiently. Their guidance properly recognized the problems our computer had and they gave us options to fix the problem. We are very happy with the results.

Upgrading the hard drive by a SSD is probably the single most effective option in improving a PC performance. This 512 GB SanDisk SSD is excellent. I have also used a 256 GB, which is also great. You can't go wrong with this drive. But be careful about the drive swap process - the drive copy part.
