Laptop is much faster with the new drive....better than mechanical drive

All OS files transferred over without any problems. Sandisk TRIM software runs automatically. Perfect size for OS. Got it on sale!

I have used several of these to replace HDDs in laptops for customers. They have been dependable and show a sharp improvement in performance.

The speed is good. The drive partitioning and clone app didn’t work. Just wanted to copy everything from a smaller drive with 3 partitions and make the 2 partition larger - which is not a feature. Tried to just duplicate the smaller which didn’t work also. Had to use other apps/utilities

I bought a Omen gaming refurbished computer and every 6-12 month I would have to reload windows 10. After the third time SSD failed to load the windows image and the HP recovery tool. Tested the SSD did it was functioning but would load the software. HP wanted close to 500 dollars to send it in for repair. I figured it was SSD or the mother board. Swapped the SSD same brand and everything loaded properly after that it was the SSD that was failing. wished I would of swapped it out sooner.

I used a USB to SATA enclosure to clone my laptop hard drive using free cloning software from Western Digital's website. Both drives were immediately recognized by the software and the cloning completed without error. I swapped the SSD with the hard drive and the laptop booted far more quickly and has given it a nice petformance boost! The only requirement to use the free WD Aaronis software is presence of one WD drive in the system other than the SSD drive you are cloning.
