I had to have help with the instructions though. It was a little onerous to use, too many steps for a simple transfer of items off of my phone

Slow for very large file transfers

It's less-than-ideal for transferring large amounts of data between devices. You're better off using a portable SSD, or even better, slapping an NVMe drive in an enclosure. Easy-to-lose, too.
