Very useful for backing up files and transferring them to a new computer. The Type-A USB makes it compatible with older computers while the Type-C provides very fast connection to current computers. It comes at a very reasonable price for the memory capacity. I use a few of them to back up my files on a regular basis and leave them with friends for safe keeping at their places in case of a catastrophic failure of theft. It takes all the stress away!

I tried a 256GB USB-C thumb drive earlier this year but it just wasn’t large enough for my files. I use it on my desktop computer and then when I am on the road, I use it with my laptop. I keep a backup folder on my desktop computer and then back up new files created while on travel to the folder. When I used a non-USB-C thumb drive, the data transfer to the backup folder took forever!

Used this one to backup large files. Transfer rate is very acceptable, can vary slightly depending on exactly what device is being used. (More powerful devices transfer faster.)
