Not bad for an in-expensive USB drive. Sequential write speeds are around 36 MB/second on the 64 GB model while using the USB Type C interface.

My gaming desktop either on usb c or A complains of an over voltage error and disables the port. Works fine with my MacBook Pro 14” 2021. Other desktops also do not detect it all even in the bios for booting an OS for example. I got a cheapy verbatim dual usb c drive and that one works fine on the aforementioned devices. Write speeds are fast however on this one which is a plus

      Posted .

Hi Jose, thanks for describing in detail the problem encountered. Please note that for the overvoltage error on some desktops, it may be related to USB power regulation differences - some systems are more sensitive. Compatibility may vary, and we are always trying to improve. We recommend testing the drive on some more devices and see if the same problem occurs. If not, the drive is working perfectly. If yes, you can open a ticket at (https://support-en.sandisk.com/app/askweb) with error screenshots. SanDiskConnections

Good buy. It works as it should and I can use it on my old tech and new. I still have a few old computers that haven't kicked the bucket yet and this helps me pull files from them and put them on my new computer when needed. The only negative Ive noticed is when using the USB-C side and transferring large GoPro vids it does get a bit warm to the touch. It doesn't do that with smaller files or when using the Type A side.

Great product. Built presentation with my MAC using usb-c and gave presentation using the standard usb on a different computer. As a trainer, I leave the drive so the department can use it for refresher or initial training.
