It moves any sizeable amount of data and it gets very hot and the write speed slows to a crawl, as does anything computer related when it overheats. Not impressed. Caught on sale and used best buy points on this, paid $7 and still feel like I overpaid. Can't recommend this at all.

|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This Sandisk flashdrive packs a lot of storage space into a tiny package. It's only slightly bigger than the two connectors; one usb c and a regular usb making it more versatile. Nice metal case with a swiveling cover and loop for keyring or lanyard. It's pretty small so try not to lose it. I transferred about 14 G of music files to test it out. It's write speed started out pretty fast at about 50+MB/sec but after a few minutes slowed down to around 15 MB/sec. This is pretty normal for large file transfers to a flashdrive but likely will be fast for a smaller transfer. I then transferred them back to my hard drive to test the read speed and was pleasantly surprised as it showed consistent 140+MB/sec and was done in just a few minutes. Very fast! If somebody told me a few years ago that you could get 512 GB (490 free) in such a small device and this fast I would have had a hard time believing them (maybe not). I've used many Sandisk storage devices and all have proven reliable. Great brand! It does get kind of warm when using it but the metal housing should act as a heatsink so it hasn't been a problem for me.
