Tried to transfer a 1 gb file to the drive. It overheated after about 500 mb and came to a halt; wouldn't proceed again until the drive had cooled down, which took quite a while. This happened every time for several attempts.

turned out to be kinda useless...................................

The flash drive worked for 2 months now the computer doesn't read it at all

First thing to be noted is just how great I have found the sandisk brand to be. As a semi professional photographer, I have over two dozen sandisk storage products and not once have I been let down by any of them. Between the reliability and performance sandisk has given me over the years, they have made themselves the brand I now use exclusively. First thing I noticed when opening up this flash drive is just how ridiculously small it is. It really is nearly identical in size as a USB receiver for a wireless keyboard or mouse. I see the small size as a positive for someone like myself who carries many different items in my camera bag and/or accessory bag and I need all the space I can get. And since this flash drive has a small hook on it, I can easily attach it to a key-chain or other accessory. This is my first USB 3.1 device and I regularly transfer photos and videos between memory cards, flash drives, and hard drives. However there is a noticeable difference when transferring on this 3.1 device compared to a 3.0 and especially a 2.0. Although the transfer speed of this flash drive is impressive, perhaps the most impressive feature is the new sandisk flashback feature. As someone who has personally lost a 128gb flash drive that had about...120gb of photos and videos on it...I know how frustrating it can be to lose a storage device of any kind. Luckily I had not formatted my memory cards yet, but it was still extremely frustrating to lose a device that had so much stored on it. Sandisk’s new feature of cloud storage automatically backing up for you as transfer to the flash drive is extremely helpful. I have a feeling that that feature will be a lifesaver for many people including but not limited to students, artists, and content creators. All in all a great product that I would highly recommend to anyone.

bad product and used it for a while it heats up so fast and cannot see what’s on file. it slows down my pc and laptop

This is a very compact thumb drive. The 128gig is a nice size and can hold practically everything I have. It is almost a little TOO small, and could be very easy to loose if you don't keep track of it. The different thing that sets this drive apart from other drives? Flashback. This is a feature that automatically backs up everything that you put on the drive into the cloud. If you loose this thing (which you might!) you won't loose all your files. The service is easy to sign up for, and is free for a year (5 bucks a year after that for 128gb, which is CHEAP). From my testing, the automatic feature works quite well. Once a file is transferred to the drive, it is immediately then uploaded to the cloud. The flashback website works quite well and is easy to navigate. You can share files with other people by using the cloud, you do not have to physically hand them your drive, which is a nice touch. There are many cloud services out there, and this one works just as well as any of them. The good news is that it is priced very well.

Work good for about 6 months then crashes. This is my 3rd SanDisk usb drive and same issue keeps happening. Going to try another brand to see if it's just my poor luck.

I need something I could leave in my computer without worrying about it breaking off.

Works well for external storage. Very small so use extra caution not to misplace it.

The product is terrible. After less than one week of use the drive malfunctioned. After many hours of customer support with both Best Buy and SanDisk a replacement was mailed. After less than 30 days the second one did the same. Do not purchase this one. SanDisk is normally great but a the kinks are not fixed on this newer product.

This drive was ok...right up until it wasn't. Failed me and took a lot of important data with it.

Good but not great. Lasted about 10 months as my Tesla cam recorder before it stopped reading/writing.

I have purchased lower capacity SanDisk usb in the past with no problems using in my DVRs but the first one didn't work so I exchanged it for another. No luck, second one didn't work either. I got a refund but lost my $5.00 reward certificate

Enough storage space to do hold the backups I need

Needed portable storage. This is more for leaving in place. It is too small and fragile for me to use and transport.

I would like to exchange it it’s very slow in generating a coffee and is not generating the true size is requested

Usually, Sandisk products are reliable, but this one cracked after only a couple of days, so we had to return it.

Storage-wise ok. But the issue of overheating kills this product. Used a couple of times and then decided to put it into trash can.

Don’t buy this, the package says 128 gb but when you put it in the computer this just give you 32 gb, is not worth it. I didn’t use it instantly and now I can’t return it so apparently I just lost my money

It will not play or record any music I have downloaded.
