Fortunately I was able to get it replaced by Sandisk under warranty.

SanDisk's Ultra Fit drives used to have an LED activity light, this has none. They used to have a steel chasis, this is all plastic. They used to be very compact, this thing barely fits in tight spaces. Also my old USB 2.0 flash drive actually runs faster than this USB 3.1 flash drive.

I seriously considered returning it but not knowing when it's going to be in stock I kept it anyway. I rely on the metal tactile feel and weight of the others this will surely break in little time
