The size and capacity was impressive. However, after a couple of months after I purchased it stopped working and I lost the data that was on it.

Lost a few days of important project files. Its my fault. I knew how poorly made the product was when i first opened the package. My surface computer was over heating and i needed to backup some files temporarily. I took the chance and lost that bet. What’s worse than buying a defective product? Best buy’s service. It failed in 4 days. I went ti the geek squad counter and was told it would cost over $500 to attempt fike recovery. I checked around for othet options for recovery. After 15 days Best Buy would not provide a refund.

May not be 256GB

I tried copying 19GB of a movie to this flash drive and the operation always failed. Please verify the drive actually has 256GB capacity after you purchase it.

I can't get my files out of it now. I attempted to use the drive during an SSD upgrade. Microsoft's recommended fixes did not work either.

It's not showing up on my Mac or my PC. I've tried multiple recovery programs and it's no longer detectable. I would expect something like this to happen with a much smaller USB but with a 256 GB 3.1 that cost $$$ this shouldn't happen. According to Best Buy it's no longer returnable.

My only option now is to reformat and hope for the best. I have cheap flash drives that I've used for years with no problems yet my new SanDisk can't make it 2 months without failing. I always thought SanDisk was better than this. Unfortunately, I was wrong.
