Simply put, DO NOT use this drive for large files (>200MB). I've tried to format the thing with every possible combination of file system and allocation unit size to no avail. At about the 50% save point, the thing just dies, dropping to a p/sec range from 733KB to 0KB. That's after maintaining aprox 47MB p/sec for the first half of the write session.

Easy to carry

It is so hot that my computer all of sudden would not recognize it. I need to wait for it to cool down and re-plug to my computer. What a disappointment.

You need to jam it in a usb port. I have a number of the next up models and they are metal. Avoid this one, even though it works fine.
