I have used Sandisk flash cards almost exclusively since 2003 and have only once had a failure requiring me to use Remo Recover to extract photos from a corrupted card. That's a pretty good record, and I trust Sandisk more than any other brand to not crash on me when I am taking important photos. This particular card was purchased for use with a Canon 6D and Canon 60D. As a 30 MB/s class 10, it has more than enough bandwidth to shoot 20 megapixel RAW still images in bursts of up to 10, and Video clips up to 1920x1080 at 30 Fps. These Canon DSLR's capture MOV video at a very high data rate, about 6 MB/s, but this card can handle it, at least for clips up to 5 minutes long. If you shoot a lot of video from a DSLR, you might be better off with the Sandist Extreme, which is a 45 MB/s card, but these are substantially more expensive. NOTE: The "30 MB/s" rating on the card is READ speed only! The Write speed is much less, about 10 MB/sec, but this should be fast enough to keep up with my Canon 6D videos. When shopping for SD cards, keep in mind that the "sweet spot" in terms of Price/Capacity changes frequently: only a year ago, the 8 Gb cards were the best value, and I expect that by summer of 2014, the 32 Gb cards will be a better value than this 16 Gb card. Another issue to keep in mind is that the larger the card, the more photos it can carry, and consequently, the more photos you put at risk should something happen to the card. A 64Gb card might be able to hold all the photos of an entire 2 week vacation trip, but do you really want to put your entire vacation on that one card? What if the camera were to be stolen the last day of your trip? I suggest that you might to consider using several smaller cards, like the 4 Gb or 8 Gb size and have no more than one day of photos on each card, stored separately from your camera pack so that you don't lose all the photos should that pack be lost or stolen. Of course, if you are downloading your camera cards to a laptop or backup storage each night, the loss of a large card isn't so much of a concern.

I am so happy I signed up for notices from Best Buy. We use dozens of Memory Cards. We have several acres and keep field cameras installed throughout the property. Additionally, we keep cameras at the ready: one is beside my front door ready to grab when needed. Whenever I fill a card, I store it rather than erase the pictures on it, so I use many cards. Whenever I find one on sale, I order. This was on sale. It was a great price. Although on sale, the quality was excellent. Actually, the card was free. At the time I bought it, I did not realize there was a $25.00 Bonus Buy from Shutterfly accompanying the card. This was serendipity: I use Shutterfly all the time, so the Bonus Buy made the card free. Again, I am happy that I receive emails with bargains from Best Buy.

Good size to take on vacation

I find this size an excellent one to take on vacation. 16 GB is fine for making sure you won't run out and can throw in a few short videos as well. I like it because for me it holds about a month of shooting and is not so full of photos that it makes it difficult to edit. I have used higher capacity if I think I will want to take a lot of videos but this is perfect for normal shooting. Big tip: Do note that on the side of the card, there is a tiny switch. If you inadvertently move it, you will get the message Memory Card Locked. If you get this message, there is nothing wrong with your camera. Simply move the switch to the opposite position to unlock it. Took me hours to find the solution as I never realized that these cards had a locked position right on the card. I thought it was in the camera. Happy shooting!

I’ve purchased several SanDisk disks over the years and have never had any problems so didn’t hesitate to purchase this when I needed another disk for an upcoming cruise. It performed flawlessly, just as expected, and I had plenty of room for all the pictures I took. Of course, I wouldn’t have needed to purchase another disk if I could have found the other ones I already own as they still work great but that’s another story. Lesson learned, don’t wait until the night before your trip to locate your camera gear and don’t assume that it’s going to be where you thought. I wasted precious packing time searching and still can’t remember what I did with it. Very frustrating!

I have many devices that use SD cards. I also use them on occasion to share photos with others. As a result, I always try to have a ready supply of SD cards. The 16 GB card is a good size for me because it has dropped to a very reasonable price, and has plenty of storage for my needs. I have yet to fill up a card, and if that day should ever come, I have plenty of spares. Also, It's cheap enough that if I loan one out and it is not returned, it's not a big deal. Of course, your needs may require a larger card than 16 GB, but if so, you should still consider the SanDisk brand. I've owned many of them and they have always been reliable. I highly recommend them.

Although the product does do what it is supposed to do. My review is more about best buy. They have lost direction. My recent purchase visit to Best Buy was a farce. Lack of Help sales associates who seemed more interested in watching TV. The selection was Hobson's choice take it or leave it. The cost was significantly higher than else where. I contacted Best Buy & indicated contact me by email (they probably need some technical help in reading) as they telephoned once left a message and didn't bother to call back when I returned their call. Will I go to Best Buy again (only if I am stuck without any options or need a part in an emergency) I can get better elsewhere cheaper. Will I recommend BB to a friend (only to my ex wife).

After talking with my grandson about many new computers not having disk drives, I talked with my Geek Agent at Best Buy. He told me the best way to save pictures is on a Memory Card. He said I could save a lot more pictures and it takes up a lot less space. So I decided to purchase one for a picture project for my daughter. It worked perfectly. I was able to slip the tiny thing into an envelope in the back of the HP Photo Creations album I had created for her. Now, my only thought is, "Will it last for years to come?" My agent told me it was probably better than the disk, so I trust he is right!

When I purchased this card for my camera, it was to replace my old card that stopped working. I was amazed when I put it my camera, how many pictures I could capture in my camera that seemed infinite. I almost captured well over a hundred shots and able to transfer to my computer in a very fast way. I also was able to use it for my video camera as well. Almost a movie's worth of time. What a way to update and be surprised with so many shots without worrying about running out of pictures.

After checking all the web reviews I bought a SanDisk (Ultra PLUS 16GB) Memory Card at Best Buy, in order to expand my Roland FA06 (keyboard/synthesizer/workstation)'s memory. I couldn't be happier because the card is strong, reliable in terms of data storage and you can always count on the information kept on it. The price is definitely affordable and I warmly suggest it for any audio and/or video storage purpose.

I lost the memory card I had in my camera - this one was a great replacement! It came preformatted and ready to go, but I went ahead and formatted it again with my camera just in case. I always use class 10 or better cards in my camera because the last thing I want is for the camera to be too busy writing to disk to take a picture - and I've never had that happen with this card. I also noticed that the branding changed at some point - the pictures say "Ultra", but the SKU says "Ultra Plus". In store, I saw both "Ultra" and "Ultra Plus" with the same barcode.

I bought my 3rd sandisk for a camera that is no longer carried by Best Buy, nor is the replacement battery. I am trying to figure out if the sandisk or the battery or the charger or the camera is the problem - so I don't know yet if the sandisk is good or not. My previous original experience was good, but the 2nd purchase did not improve results for very long - so my experience so far is average at best.

I went to purchase a new memory card for my camera and found they has changed a great deal since I purchased my last one. With some help from the Best Buy Team member we picked this one. It works perfectly in my camera, I have no problems with the chip working in either the camera or transferring the pictures to my computer. And the pictures come out very good. And I know that there is plenty of space on the disk that I can take all the pictures I want without running out of room.

I really don't know the difference between all the class 10 or ultra 1, 2, 3 ratings in SD cards nowadays. All I know is I bought this Sandisk ultra 16G SD card for my camera and it is faster than my old class 10 card. No lag between shots and when I want to see my pics on the camera, all the preview icons show up with no hesitation so this is a FAST card. Sandisk has always been reliable so no issues there. Not the cheapest 16G but not much more than the cheap no names that Fry's sells.

I have used many memory cards before but this one just amazed me and here is why: - Fast and Furious, for real since I started using this memory card with my Nikon the camera feels faster. - Transfer files to my laptop way faster than my older memory card. - This thing really can survive heat. I used the camera in intense heat conditions and the memory card has no problem operating at optimal performance. Overall this memory card has been the best at what it can do, and better than any other memory card of its class.

We were getting ready to purchase a new full size refrigerator for our kitchen and felt it might be beneficial to have a small one in the garage for both the use until the new large one cooled down and for extra storage of beverages. This little Frigidaire fit the bill. It did take several adjustments for the refrigerator part to get sufficiently cold but the freezer did so immediately.

It is was it is. Got it as part of a black friday package for free so no complaining but wouldnt purhcase this on its own. Find more value in at least a 32gb size card and i opt for the faster cards (extreme, extreme plus). i dont think there is much difference while shooting photos but for reviewing in camera and loading onto computer it makes a big difference. Also for shooting video i presume it makes a difference although i havent used it for that. I switched it out to another card before doing video.

Well I can't comment anything bad about this SD card, I used this on my Sony DSLR camera and so far it work just fine. It really depend on the camera you use and if you have a good camera SD card doesn't have to be expensive. I have different SD cards from Pixtor, Ultra, and Ultra Plus all Sandisk and I couldn't find any difference at all. You don't have to buy the expensive the SD card as long as you know how to use your camera. This one is just fine.

We purchased our first dsl camera and needed a good size memory card and was recommended this one. I have all my pictures and videos on this one and planning to keep it that way because computers crash, its happened before and lost pictures in the past so with that being said this holds plenty of pictures and videos. Really recommend this to anyone and everyone

I got 16 gigs in case I got the urge to do a little video work. My other camera has an 8 gig card. Eight gigs or 16 gigs or 500 gigs (my Toshiba external drive) or 1 terabyte (my Lenovo laptop)... they're all numbers. Big numbers. My first computer (1982; Leading Edge) had a full 200K of memory. TWO HUNDRED KILOBYTES! Maybe now you see why I can be so happy with a thumbnail-sized card that exceeds the storage capacity of all the computers onboard the Apollo 11 moonshot.
