Work well with my Vizio Satellite Speakers

I wasn't convinced by reading the reviews and the Q&A's that these speaker stands would be compatible with the satellite speakers on my 5.1.2 Vizio Soundbar system. It turns out that it works just fine. You really don't need any of the hardware except for the small platform that attaches to the top of each stand. The satellite speakers can then be mounted to each platform using the double stick tape that is provided with the Stands. The speakers are light enough that there is no chance of anything happening to them. The other issue that is mentioned frequently in the reviews is that the Vizio speaker connectors do not fit into the Speaker Stand tubing. This is true. But there is an easy and effective fix for this. Simply cut the speaker wire at a proper spot, snake the wire through and then splice the wire back together once the connector is attached to the speaker. This method does a perfect job of hiding the speaker wire! The sound is significantly improved compared to mounting the speakers to the wall of the room. Excellent purchase.

I used these stands to mount my Definitive Technology Pro-Cinema 600 front speakers. The stands look great & have great bases w/the option to use rubber spikes for carpet use on rubber feet on hard surfaces. These stands are very stable. Sanus includes multiple mounting platforms for use with almost every type of speaker.n

Does the Job - A Couple of Annoyances

I needed stands for my Onkyo Home Theater front speakers, in order to raise them up to the level of the TV. The Onkyo speakers are a little over 7 lbs, and have a keyhole mount on the back. The Sanus Adjustable Speaker stands seemed to serve my needs. The stands come with a variety of hardware and mounts to accommodate various types of speakers. However, I wound up having to perform a bit of "jury-rigging" in order to get them to accommodate my particular speakers properly. This included replacing a couple of the provided screws with slightly longer ones. Also, in part because of the way the speakers have to hang off the front of the stands, it makes them a bit top-heavy. This meant having to adjust the stands to lean slightly backward in order to compensate for the weight of the speakers. Speaking of weight, although the speakers are under the advertised maximum weight, one of the expandable stands kept collapsing. The bolt that's supposed to lock the height adjustment in place, couldn't be tightened enough to do so. The slightest motion of the stand would cause it to collapse, no matter how much I tried to tighten that bolt. It's strange that this happened only on one of the two stands though. Regardless, I had to do a bit more jury-rigging to secure that particular stand. I'm giving these stands 4 stars because, despite those annoyances, and despite the extra things I had to do to make them work, they're doing the job. Generally, I think they're well-constructed (except that the tightening-bolt issue should probably be addressed). I'm guessing that part of the problem for me is the weight, size, and mounting style of my particular speakers. Others may not encounter these same issues. So, I recommend these stands ... with an asterisk!!!! Some folks may have to do a little jury rigging to make them work.

      Hello Tom TNH,
Thank you for your input here and I'm glad that despite some hiccups you were able to find a solution with these. IT is hard to design a speaker stand for all speakers out there. But if by chance the stand collapses again, please contact our customer care team and they may be able to walk you through some other tricks at 800-359-5520. Please keep us in mind for your future installs!

I purchased these specific stand due to the price, after some research and looking i felt that the stands were the best bang for the buck. After having them now for several weeks I love them. Very easy to assemble and good on carpet or bare floor. I liked that they came with attachments for the feet for specifically carpets.

back speakers for q90r finally have a stand

of course Samsung didn't make their q90r surround speakers compatible with any speaker stands. I managed to get these by the luck of the draw. Seen a ton of forums with people making wonky setups for these speakers. but this brand was never mentioned. Anyone having the same problem should get them, They have multiple options for setup as far as side post hanging, back fork or screw, bottom screw post... none worked for my speakers STILL so I took the risk of using the double sided adhesive pads and just smushing them onto the flat top plate set up....and man they STICK..... screwed on the plate and then speaker (as well as it would with the plate between) and then put the stickers on bottom of the speakers. They have fallen once on my hard floor due to the dog, but even then, they survived intact. If you have q90r speakers, chances are you need to do a mickey mouse set up and these will give you the hardware to figure it out! it's been a year and they haven't fallen off!

I currently have speakers from a set of Creative Gigaworks S750 mounted to these speaker stands. With all of the included mounting options, I was able to mount them while still having enough clearance for the speaker wires to insert into the rear speaker clips. The stands with these speakers is stable and works well. A note of caution regarding the internal speaker wire routing. Rocketfish™ 16 Gauge Pure Copper Speaker Wire - Clear just barely was able to be routed through and it had to be routed from the top where the speaker mounted out through the bottom. Just wanted to provide that feedback for anyone else who might be considering speaker wire which might be thicker as it might not fit.

Nice Stands at the Price Point

These are well made stands for the money. They easily support my Definitive Technology ProMonitor 1000 rear surround speakers. The base and tubing are well made, and there are several varieties of mounting brackets and hardware in the box allowing you to conveniently deal with different speaker configurations. The stand tubes are hollow and have a cutout at the top and bottom so that you can thread your speaker wires through the inside of the tube rather than having to display it outside. This is a nice touch and looks a lot cleaner and more professional. I am very pleased with these for the price.

Nice stands, but NOT compatible with MartinLogan M

I like these stands. They come with a wide variety of mounting and placement options. I only had these for a few hours before returning but in that time I was pleased with them. Unfortunately I ran into a problem... In a question posted on the Best Buy website about speaker compatibility, Sanus posted that these stands ARE compatible with the MartinLogan MLT-2 satellite speakers. I guess our definitions of the word compatible differ. The only possible option to mount these speakers is the 5"x5" flat mount, and the MLT-2 base is not square and therefore looks ridiculous, especially with how the banana plugs come out the back of the speakers with plenty of wire sticking up and out. The MLT-2 manual recommends wall mounting or placing on a shelf but I trusted the judgment from Sanus that these would be appropriate. As a reference, here's the link to the user question about the MLT-2's: http://reviews.bestbuy.com/answers/3545/product/4966754/sanus-28-to-42-adjustable-speaker-stands-pair-black-satin-questions-answers/questions.htm?page=2&sort=recentq&dir=asc

The stands seem overall to be well built. They were straight forward to assemble. However, I could not get one of them to remain level; it slightly tilted no matter how I adjusted it. I was using them with the Klipsch RP-600M speakers, which were a little overwhelming for these stands (not in weight, but in look). I would recommend them with smaller speakers and as long a you get a set that sit even once assembled.

These speaker stands are pretty basic and bare for the price but they are very sturdy. The holes cut out for cable management were not deburred and they cut the sheathing open on my speaker wire so maybe add some grommets or electrical tape to the cutouts to prevent the burrs from cutting you or your cable.

Great quality, especially for the low price. They look great, come with plenty of extra mounting pieces, and feel well built. One thing to note that is not shown in the pictures is there is a small knob on the shaft to lock the height in place. I partially selected these stands because I thought they might lock internally, but there is, in fact, a knob much like the competitors. In any case, the stands still look clean and contemporary. The black finish is powder-coated and has a slight texture. They should hold up well for many years.

First off I got this because they were the only one available. Lol They are solid and don't feel cheap. The only real problem I had was the mounting screws that came with it didn't work for my speakers. I also couldn't have the wire on the inside of the stand because there wasn't space with the connectors. I had to use black zip ties and ran the wire on the outside. (If I had standard speaker wire it wouldn't have been a issue.) It's hidden pretty well.

I purchased these for my Klipsch RP140D rear home theater speakers. They weigh 3.75 lbs each. These speaker stands are straight forward and easy to assemble. They come with several attachments for different speaker manufacturers. The attachments for Klipsch speakers mated up perfectly with my speakers with the screws from the speakers and easily support the weight of them. Mine, once set up and put into place, are out of the way of foot traffic so these are a perfect solution for me. Run your wire through, adjust height to your needs, attach your speakers and put them in place. I would definitely recommend.

The stands are exactly what I expected. They are well made, and easy to set up. The only drawback is that in addition to the weight requirement there should be a list of compatible speakers or dimension requirements. My speakers meet the weight requirements but I needed to make a simple modification to use my rears due to their size.

I had a couple of older studio monitors that didn't have any mounts. I saw these stands and decided to give them a try. There's enough hardware included to create what you need. I used the flat plate, some double sided auto tape and a couple of screws. I got the balance right and for the height they are solid. It would take a good bump to knock these over. These were a good buy and certainly took care of what I wanted.

Great stands overall well constructed some minor design flaws for a 5 star rating like not being able to hide a power cable inside the body of the stand for power cable connected rear surrounds. Also some of the hardware to connect the brackets is silver when the rest of the stand and hardware is black, leaning a tacky shiny silver screw head exposed. Little things, but nonetheless lacking in high end craftsmanship. That aside. Really good products that accept about any small speakers.

I needed stands for my bookshelf speakers and was recommended the Sanus stands. The stands are strudy and if good quality. It's easy to assemble and there are several accessories to accommodate whatever size speakers you have. The sound from speakers are not compromised by the metal stands. The feet are cone, which comes in handy for reducing vibrations.
