Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought these stands to support my small (8.4 lb) JBL bookshelf speakers at about 36" high. Thes number are within the specification for these stands. There were a few problems. First, one of the six rug spikes had flawed threads so it could not be installed in the base. The central column is attached with one screw at the bottom. It wobbles even when tightened, even with no speaker on top. The telescoping center column slips under the weight of an 8.4 pound speaker even though these stands are rated at 10 pound capacity. The spikes would not penetrate my rug. All this contributed to them not being able to support my speakers with stability. I. subsequently returned them and found a much more stable stand for less money.
