    28" to 42" speaker stands

Speakers stand have following qualities: 1. Adjustment knob screws in from the side. More durable than vertical adjusting knobs. 2. Stands are adaptable to almost any speaker less than 10 pounds. 3. Upper height extends to the top of my recliner, which places speaker at sitting heights. 4. Excellent price 5. Realatively heavy for size. Holds up to 10 pound speaker no problems. 6. Adhesive stickers with kit to anchor speakers so they don't slide off the stand. 7. Best Buy associate assisted me for about 20 minutes to find the correct speaker stands for my needs. 8. Easy to assemble

    Good Even with Beefy Speakers

These are good stands and I recommend them. The following are some installation comments and minor whines to maybe give you a clue. First, the on-line description says that they come with 3 different types of mounting brackets, the outside of the box said they had 4 different kinds, but when I opened the box, there were actually SIX different styles of mounting brackets! I got 2-pair of stands, and both boxes were like this. Can’t complain about that. I used the rubber feet on a hard-floor rather than carpet spikes, and those needed a little encouragement to stay in place (I used plumbers putty that I had around). The one minor whine is that they did not include enough nuts, bolts and washers for me, but I had some of that stuff lying around too, so it wasn’t a big deal. I guess that most people have tiny satellite speakers with built-in threaded inserts, and if so, there should be no problem at all. My speakers are rather large full-range Polk things designed for wall-mounting; 12”h x 8.5”w x 8.5”d and they weigh 8-lb each. The good news is that even these fit, the balance and c-of-g was good, the stands seem quite stable and I am pleased with the result. I have them at the lowest adjustment point, and they are just about right. Threading the speaker-wire through the posts was a small challenge, and you will probably need needle-nose pliers (or a bent coat hanger) to fish it out. I’m not going to be swinging the stands around like a club with those 8-lb speakers on the end, but sitting in place they are sturdy, well-built, look good and do the job nicely for me.

    Solid Product

Mounted my Sonos Play 3s for surround sound. Like that they telescope so desired height can be set. Good rubber nubs for use on hardwood floors. Good weight for stability. Sonos is wireless so it doesn't use speaker wire but does have a power cord. Tube opening is only larege enough for thin speaker wire and does not allow power cord to be run through it unfortunately. Other than telescoping screw that does seem easily breakable (once I set it I didn't mess with it in fear of stripping it or breaking it as others warned). Although I was hoping to pay around $50 for a stand I'm overall happy with the product.

Excellent product - inexpensive but elegant

These are elegant speaker stands for the price. Pretty simple to assemble and the box certainly comes with numerous alternative brackets for mounting the speakers. Routing the speaker wire was a little tricky but manageable. I'd recommend these to anyone looking for relative ease of assembly, elegant and simple design, nothing too pricey, and a sturdy design. I give these two thumbs up.

    Great Stands

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Anyone using stands, please state which speakers you use them with. It could help others later on. I purchased a pair of these to go with a pair of Definitive Technology Promonitor 800 surrounds. Having said that, with all of the adpters you get with these, I would find it hard to believe that there is a speaker out there they wouldn't work with assuming the weight limit is kept to. Guys, you have to read the intructions. As I mentioned above, there are alot of mounting possibilities which does not make it intuitive. These stands are very sturdy. They hold my speakers tight and unless someone, like my 4 year old grandson, runs right into them, they should stay put. The best feature of these is that they are adjustable. I purchased a set of stands that were made to match my speakers, but they were about 1" short of where I wanted the speakers to end up. With these stands that is not an issue. Just adjust them up and VIOLA, you are good to go. I wish I had purchased these first. It would have saved me alot of time and trouble. If looking for stands, I suggest you give these are try.

    Sturdy surround speaker stands

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Overall, these are really good speaker stands for surround sound speakers. They seem pretty sturdy, little to no plastic. The box includes several different ways to attach various manufacture speakers to the stands. An assembly note: The instructions are pictographs, no words. They are not too bad. The hardware is not organized or grouped very well with other hardware for the same assembly. The assembly instructions don't mention (No Words) about snaking the speaker wire threw the pole. However, I found that the easiest way to get the speaker wire threw the pole is with it collapsed and before the base is screwed on. It will make it easier if you have a pair of needle nose pliers or a spring tool to get the wire out of the side hole near the top of the pole. Then once it is threw, the pole can be expanded and locked into place.

    One major flaw, but . . .

    Posted .

I read a lot of reviews prior to buying these speaker stands and was fully aware of the poorly threaded height adjustment thumb-screws prior to making my purchase. Despite that flaw, these stands appeared to offer the most for my money by far, and I still believe that is the case. The thumb-screw problem is easy to fix if one has any mechanical sense, but as it turned out, I didn't need to tap any threads. One of the posts was bent and its thumb-screw also would not hold. The other stand worked fine. I called Sanus customer service and they sent me both a new post and a new thumb-screw free of charge. I had them within 3 days. The new post worked with the original thumb-screw, so now I have a new spare. Sanus customer service was very helpful and courteous. Other that having to wait a few extra days to use one of my posts, I now have a very solid pair of stands with attachments to fit almost any speaker configuration. Sanus really should correct the faulty thumb-screw inserts, but other than that, the stands are great and so is customer service. If your speakers are on the heavier side of the limit, you may have to re-tap the inserts to use stronger screws or drill them out completely, but if you can change your own oil, you can probably handle it.

Like the stands. Can't beat the price for the look and also very steady. Very well satisfied and glad I bought them. My caution is the set up. The directions are poor. I've set up speaker stands in the past so I understand the concept. Put the base on the tube, thread the speaker wire, and then follow the rest of the directions.
