The speaker stands were excellent for my small surround sound speakers. They were pretty easy to assemble. They looked great and durable. I just thought they were a little overpriced.

I am very happy with these stands, they are universal and can accomodate a great number of speaker BUT I suggest you bring a speaker to Best Buy with you when you want to purshase to see if one of the fixations offered works with your speakers. Personnaly at first I thought my speaker was too big, but there are so many possibilities that I ended up finding the right match. I have a Denon sound system.

    Sanus speaker pole

These stands help make your speakers look clean without having wire's hanging from them. But it can be a little tricky feeding the speaker wire through the pole. I suggest using a bent paper clip to help pull the wire through the hold

    Small and compact

It works well for small speakers. I have jamo hcs speakers. The only problem I have with it is the bottom bolt assembly. If you tighten it beyond a certain limit, the nut on the stand bends outwards and renders the whole stand useless.

    Functional

Snaking speaker wire through the post is challenging. VERY fine nosed pliers are needed, or a diaper pin to hook the wire. Once setup, the stands perform as expected.

    Gret Product!

These were a little more pricy than i wanted to pay but when i got them home i understood why. These are HEAVY and have an extremely sturdy construction. THe black powdercoating looks to be of a great quality and there are several options for the feet depending on the surface you are standing them on. They are well worth the money and under normal condition i would expect them to last a good 5-7 years.

Good product, mounting not so good

The product is pretty well made, and the finish is very good. The cable routing inside the vertical is OK, but hard to do. The screw knob to adjust the height is not very strong. The biggest problem is the mounts attach to the top with a screw into the center of the tube, and they tend to wobble or lean. It is a poor design and should have a flange or something at the top to keep everything flat and square. My bookshelf size speakers are leaning already; I can probably fix it but I have to take it apart again and tweak the hardware until it looks straight once assembled.

Terrible if you don't understand all the parts

Looked great and was priced right so I bought it. Got it home and it was impossible to adjust the height so that it would stay up at the height I wanted. Kept sliding back down. Instructions were nice to look at but difficult to understand unless you have a lot of experience putting things like this together. I had to cannibalize parts from this and use them with my old speaker stands to make functional stands. The company should do a little redesign on this one.

    Plastic Set Screws Don't Hold

    Posted .

I just purchased a set of these stands based on my previous experience with them a few years back, hence the 2 Stars vs. 1 Star. The new set, unlike the older set, won't stay at the set height. During assembly they seemed fine, and stayed at the fully extended height, but once I placed a set of small Boston Acoustics Surround Speakers on them, they slid all they way down. When I tried to tighten the set screw, it stripped, so both stands sit at the lowest height, where as the original set still stay at the fully extended height and are holding up the same sized speaker. Did the quality of these stands change in the last few years?

    Served its purpose

The stand comes with multiple options for attachment of speakers...none of which worked for me. I bought it for the LD wireless surround rear speakers and none of the brackets worked except for the large flat one in which I had to use 3M tape to hold the speaker. It works and serves its purpose but the speakers are not hardware mounted which is a concern because of a crawling 11 month old baby in the house.

Bought these to go with my Boston Accoutics surround sound speakers and I couldn't be happier. Solid speakers stands that were easy to set up. Also, they look great in our family room.

    Only for light speakers

If you have speakers which have to use the "L" bracket they need to be very light. The box says they can support 10lbs. My 6.1lb HT-A9 are bending the brackets and make them fall over forward

These are great! A little unsure how stable they'll be but as long as they're out of the way then they should be okay

    Good Materials, Poor Construction

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

This stand is poorly designed. Although it does give the user many configuration options, none of them are very stable or well constructed. Attaching the adjustable poles to the base is one screw that can easily loosen with any movement. The same is true of the top plate that holds the speaker plate, it too can easily loosen and cause the speaker to lean left or right. The materials are of good quality but the design and construction are only fair to poor.

    Wobbly

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

The smaller tube doesn't fit snugly in the larger tube so there is play between them. The triangle design of the base is a bad idea, triangles aren't stable - it's why nobody rides 3-wheelers any more, they're all 4-wheelers (the 3-wheelers were prone to tipping because a 3-point base isn't stable in all directions). Sanus has replied to other reviews saying "we've tested these to the rated weight." They don't seem to understand what tipping is. Sure, the stands will hold 10 pounds. As long as you don't so much as slightly bump them, they will stand there. But raised to the higher heights, the center of gravity is very poor for the size of the base and you only have to push them a few degrees before they'll just fall over. These need larger, and square, bases.
