My problem with this strap is that if the stand falls, the tv is left to slam into the wall. Now that is all good as long as my little one doesn't end up under it, but it really doesn't protect my tv from the beefy well made walls in my house. I am willing to bet I would be back on my way to pick up another tv if heaven forbid the entertainment center decides to do a side step.

I personally didnt it attach it to the wall you can attach it to the furniture. You can see it but it doesnt distract from the what your watching

You are correct on both accounts. This Anti-Tip strap is made to prevent forward tipping to make sure your kids and pets are safe. This is not made to prevent the TV from going backwards. Please let me know if you need anything else.
