Not bad
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Mount is way over priced. Overkill is a better word. Its fair at best.

Love the mounting unit capabilities/installation.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best mount ever purchased hands down. I have had a projector for over 4 years. Recent events lead me to have to replace many electrical devices in my house that were supposed to be surge protected. When I purchased this mount with my new projector I was a little apprehensive at first. After installing the new system I am completely amazed at how easy it was to install and how good of system it is overall. I would buy it again in a heartbeat knowing what I know now.

Too Expensive
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchases this product first, when I went to install it, one of the extension tubes that was included got stuck in the threads of the projector mount and we could not remove it. We had to return the product, and decided to purchased the same brand but one model below (saved about $120). The 2nd one didn't have the key locking mechanism but had more rotion vertical and horizontal, it could hold more weight and was easier to install.

Over-engineered and hard to use
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just spent over 4 hours fighting with this projector mount and still couldn't get it to work. A $220+ mount should take <20 minutes to install and should be utterly easy to use... and, of course, it should work. The single worst problem was the "locking" system the mount tried to implement. There are a series of 4 holes on the swivel mount section of the ceiling pieces and 4 pegs on the projector piece. Once the ceiling pieces are installed on the ceiling and the projector piece is installed on the projector, you are to simply insert the pegs into the holes, slide the pegs sideways 1/2 inch and then pull a lever to "lock" it all in place. In theory it sounds great, however, the pegs would not simply slide over, I had to use a hammer to get them to move over. And even once I got them over there, the lever wouldn't "lock". I tried everything I could think of, and I've done this a half-dozen times before with various mounts and projectors. Nothing worked. Other than that, the threaded drop down pipe was threaded such that the other pieces would not easily screw back off of it. The swivel mount piece would not come off the threaded pipe after I put it on. As I said, I spent over 4 hours fighting with this mount and never got it to work. I returned it to the store for a full refund, purchased a $100 mount elsewhere and had my projector mounted and working in 20 minutes after I got home. Don't waste your money on this item, you don't always get what you pay for.

waste of time
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this mount thinking it was going to be a quality piece and work without a trip to the hardware store. Unfortunately, the tiny screws provided with this are way to short to reach the thread on the projector. I have no idea why they would put such small screws. Makes zero sense. I refuse to make a trip to the hardware store to buy the proper hardware for this, so instead it goes back to the store.
