HDMI Port Never Worked

My LG monitor gets no signal from the HDMI connection and eventually goes black. Making this even more frustrating, the pointer disappears and you have to rely on the hover over functionality to reboot the computer in order to get the pointer back. This is a very slim and nice looking device. I wish it worked. Others have commented about the HDMI issue. I have a Belkin USB C to HDMI adapter that displays the video, so it is not the monitor. That Belkin doesn't have any other ports on it. The ethernet port works fine. I think the comment of "works great until it doesn't is very fitting".

They are a good alternative for the Anker hub, although I do prefer the Anker hub in instances where more ports are required.
