Uncertain compatibility

Sometimes everything I plugged in would work. Sometimes nothing would work. Sometimes a few things would work. I sought assistance from Best Buy, which noted only that I was outside of my return window and sent me to the manufacturer. Fair enough, but I couldn't tell what the problems were within 14 days because it was so inconsistent. This is what the manufacturer said. tldr; I don't know why I would pay this much money for something that may or may not work with the items I wanted to use. From Satechi: Before proceeding, it is important to note that USB 3.0 ports and devices have the potential to generate radio frequency interference within the 2.4GHz band, which is utilized by numerous wireless devices, including 2.4GHz dongles. Such interference may result in the dongle losing connection or experiencing interruptions. Additionally, multiport adapters may not supply sufficient power to all connected devices, particularly if the dongle necessitates a higher power draw. This situation may result in the dongle not operating correctly or not being recognized by the system. Ideally, 2.4GHz dongles require a direct connection to the host computer or through a single port adapter (USB-A to C). To ensure that the USB ports on your adapter are working properly, please test if issues persist when using a different USB keyboard or mice. Or test any other USB device such as flash drives or external hard drives (one at a time) for any disconnects or any related issues.
