Head unit installation
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.They way the unit was mounted makes it difficult to see the screen when there is sun glare, This may not be the installers fault, it the back up camera is basically useless. We had the head unit installed in a Toyota Tundra.

Removed blown pioneer amp that GeekSquad installed

Geek Squad installed it. 2 months later, the amplifier blows. Because best buy didnt sell the amplifier anymore they would not replace the amplifier. I had to pack it up and send it to United Radio under the manufacturers warranty. Took 2 months to get it back. When I did get the amplifier back from the manufacturer, they said the amplifier blew its mother board due to a bad ground during installation. So because Geek Squad installed the amp badly, this has cost me a lot of grief. Make sure you Buy the TOTAL TECH Package if you use Geek Squad Services.. because if I didnt have that this would have been way worse than it was as far as cost.

Not the best install

The rookie installer jacked it up bad and I've had to clean up his work. The amp was not grounded properly and has a lot of engine noise and the component speakers install located the crossover to close to power cables. Unfortunately BB has only a few locations setup for install anymore and they are all booked months in advance. Too hard to get back in to get things fixed.

Horrible Experience

I had to wait 4 weeks to have my stereo installed and am not happy with the final product. They said that they could replace my old amp behind my back seat - they could not. They called twice to ask me how to do it; I was a bit thrown off then as they were the “professionals” and had already stated this would not be a problem. I suggested that they check out YouTube for assistance. They then told me that they could not find a you tube video. I did a search and found several with out any problems. They did not incorporate my factory microphone or USB with the new stereo but said that they could. I paid to have a harness that incorporates all of the factory provisions with the new stereo. They told me that my factory USB and Mic had broken; I am not sure about the mic but I can still get a power charge off the factory USB. I feel as though these so called Geeks were lazy and didn’t want to make the extra effort needed to do the job right. The microphone and USB they installed, looked like my 16 year old self did the job and my 16 year old self was lazy and cut corners any where he could. They did not walk me through the new stereo process. I had to go back and inquire as to why my USB was not working only to discover that they had added one that was now dangling from the underside of the dashboard on the passenger side. Had I known that waiting 4 weeks would have resulted in this, I would have taken my vehicle somewhere else. I do not recommend their services to anyone.

Geek squad didn't install my stereo right.

I did not receive this service
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.My car radio is not hooked up to satellite radio and the equipment I purchased sounds horrible and half of it quit working 7 months in!!! No one will tell me how to get this resolved and the membership I purchased is about to expire! You guys closed your stores and I cannot get the services I paid for or anyone to look at why the $2000 worth of brand new equipment is not working properly and was not installed properly!! Please help me get an appointment to have a professional get my car audio working like they promised it would!! I am so upset With Best Buy and the geek squad!! This is ridiculous!! Thousands of dollars of new brand name car audio and my factory radio sounded better!! Please make me a satisfied customer and set me a date to diagnose the many issues with this poor installation I received in early July of last year!!

Get better people

He stated that they don't get very many vehicles like mine. He thought he would get over on me, but I quickly put a halt to it. As far as the service, He did not install the camera properly, and it constantly falls off its bracket; in my opinion, he did a horrible job. But what should I expect? He complained the entire time I spoke with him. I still tipped him 30 dollars for doing the job.

Not yet operative

I have to made a third appointment for that. The first appointment was not in the system when I was there last Saturday, return this Wednesday and could not finished because the harness was defected, need to return again pending schedule.

I thought after paying over $1,500.00 for a stereo,gps,Satalight cd/dvd player, front and rear cameras, speakers, amps ect.... that the antenna was installed as well

Good job & bad job

But my car immediately had issues afterwords with my heater that they said wasn’t their fault. I will continue to shop at Best Buy but I will not shop at this location.

Bad installation
