It is fascinating to see the process Walt Disney, his creative team, and author P.L. Travers took to bring the Mary Poppins book to the big screen in the early 1960s.

Definitely an awesome Disney movie based on a true story with a tinge of sadness. Well done!

Lovers of Mary Poppins must see this! Amazing job by an all-star cast.

Overall a well made movie but didn't totally live up to expectations. Tom Hanks was great, as always. While it was well made I expected a little more interaction between the two main characters (Walt Disney & P.L. Travers). While it isn't 100% historically accurate, it comes pretty close and surprisingly paints Travers as more likable than one might expect, from Disney's perspective. Wish I could have given it 3.75 stars.

Emma Thompson did a great job.It was well actedand a wonderful film.

This Disney-produced accounting of the story behind the scenes of their own film, "Mary Poppins" is just what you'd probably expect. Slick production values, strong performances, zero surprises, and a tendency to play fast and loose with the facts. Scrubbed and sanitized for maximum penetration of the Family market, it's perfectly adequate.

This is a great choice for Tom Hanks fans and great Disney collection title.

It is about how Walt Disney convinced P. L. Travers to give him the rights to make Mary Poppins in only 20 years. Supposedly, the Disney studio originally bought the rights to stop it from being made, but instead made this partisan version.

It is was a ok movie. I like the the way the movie take.
