One of the best wartime movies. Incredble Atmos soundtrack and very clear in the 4K format. One of the best Spielberg movies

The cast in this film as well as the historical details are fantastic. Spielberg, Hanks, Damon and the rest of the cast are excellent. Great cameos along the journey. 4K upgrade was necessary as this along with Band of Brothers are a must.

This is a great movie that features exactly how brutal the fighting in World War 2 really was. The movie has great actors, music, and action, which will easily keep you entertained.

One of the best film I have ever watched. Great story, the sound and picture quality is superb! Everything about it is good. I highly recommend this film to be included in your collection. So sad I wasn't able to grab the steel book as the regular edution does not have a slip cover. I really don't know why Bestbuy does not include the slip cover when they ship the 4k bluray. Is Tha the thing righ now??? Good thing the copy that they sentlooks good!

With the 75 year anniversary of D-Day this year, this is a special time to revisit this great movie. It doesn't shy away from the horrors of the war, which make the achievement accomplished that day seem that much more incredible.

For commemorating D-Day, we decided to watch Saving Private Ryan. Unfortunately, we only had it on DVD. Sooooo, I ran to Best Buy to get in 4K. Great movie to begin with, and even better with the clarity and color depth of 4K/HDR.

I held off buying the Sapphire version because it seemed I always read bad reviews. I hoped an anniversary edition would get remastered but never did. Got duped buying the 4K Steelbook release thinking it had blu-ray version since I don't own a 4K player. So, I bought the Sapphire version, popped into my Sony blu-ray player and it looked like it did when I saw it in the theater! And I put it in my steelbook case. ; )

One of the great movies of all time. This 4k version has a terrific picture and soundtrack. Highly recommend.

This movie was so worth in 4k!! I loved this movie!! It was full screen too you don't get those crappy black lines the colors look so vibrant and real!! If you want to show of your 4k TV this is the movie to do it with!

If there is one specific genre I don't watch that much, it's the war genre. Normally, it's not my type of movie, but when it comes to one of the best, if not the best war film, it has to be Saving Private Ryan. This is my first viewing of the film and I am very impressed. It's not just your typical war film, it has a personal story that will keep you hooked from start to finish and it's one of Spielberg's best films. Saving Private Ryan is told through flashbacks during World War II and starts with the devastating D-Day invasion in 1944. The film follows a group of soldiers who are assigned to a mission to locate a missing soldier whose brothers were killed in action. Within the first 30 minutes of the film, Steven Spielberg rewrote everything about warfare movies and perfectly captures the horrors of war on screen. There are stunning yet brutal action scenes, but it doesn't detract the whole film's focus. The cinematography is dazzling and the set design truly grips you into its World War II setting. When it comes to characterization and emotional scenes, this film succeds in delivering them. It may be a war film, but it will leave affected by the end. The movie has a great cast, such as Tom Hanks, Matt Damon and even Vin Diesel, and they all give great performances. There isn't much flaws in the film, aside from the pacing in some scenes. Saving Private Ryan revolutionized how war movies are done and it pays tribute to the fallen warriors of World War II. Highly recommended.

Classic ww2 movie in 4k it's very enjoyable as always

I was expecting more from the image quality as it was upgraded to 4K but overall great movie.
