I first saw this film years ago, and it was such a profound departure of war films of the past. It showed what it is really like to be in the middle of a huge, heroic battle for democracy. Another one of the greatest films ever made.

If you have a big screen and a high quality home theater setup your wasting all that money spent on not completing it with this movie is what id say. Loud guns blazing action with a emotional story this is what you need.

The hdr and Dolby atmos mix on this classic is on point with the proper surround sound system, I played this movie on my lg oled with a 5.2.4 speaker setup and the opening scene is demo worthy and really shows off the sound from each speaker.

Such a good movie. Was just as great as I remembered it. The 4k picture is awesome although very grainy as this was shot on film. Heads up to people that dislike that I prefer it. The steelbook always a plus

The role Tom Hanks is given to play in this movie makes it an outstanding choice. By the end of the movie I was in tears. It showed some of the vulnurabilities of the men fighting the war. The characters are developed in such a manner that you feel sad when any one of them are lost in the struggle.

All i can say is wow one of the best war movies ever watching this on 4k was amazing it felt like you were right there with them solid acting perfect directing really shows you the people who fought for this country love this movie if you have a 4k tv and player pick this up

One of my Top 5 favorite movies, and the 4K version of the movie looks so good. I already owned the 4K before this purchase, but I had to buy it again to get the Steelbook. Nice looking case for my collection.

The 3rd time (DVD, Blu-Ray, 4K UHD) I have bought this movie. The picture has never looked better. The 5.1 sound is immersive. No ATMOS? I bet I will have to buy it a 4th time. :)

One of the best war movies, just by it self it’s master piece in film and story telling. Everyone involved was incredible, if you haven’t seen it you have to. It has one of the best opening that can’t be matched.

Not really 4k more like upscaled 720. It's still a good buy you get the "4k" DVD with a 1080 DVD and a digital copy of the movie but as far as the 4k picture not really.

This was always one of my favorite military movies. I had it as a DVD. I was curious to see how much better it might look in 4K. Was worth getting the 4K version. Movie and sound is out of this world. It's a must for your 4K Library.

If the first 15 minutes doesn't shake you to your core, shut the movie down and do a little research! Scary and amazing- truly the greatest generation. 4k for better or worse brings an extra level of realism.

Epic epic war film. Excellent entry in the WWII film library, perhaps one of the very best. Visually stunning battle scenes and the emotions, atmosphere and acting are all stellar. 10/10, incredible film.

Great storyline and well directed film about a soldier who must be found and sent home because all of his other brothers have just been killed in action, leaving his parents with no surviving children.

Good movie for those who haven't seen it or would like to watch it again. 4K picture quality and audio representation is excellent in this film and worth a purchase for those with a nice TV and/or audio setup

One of my top three movies of all time. My Dad was a WWII vet - and I spent 30 years on active duty - I have a very difficult time watching the end of this - "earn this".

I remember working at a movie theater when this came out. Veterans of world war II would leave during the opening scene. After I saw the movie and having been to war myself I understood why. A great movie, cast, and director. Cant go wrong with this movie.

Amazing movie, and the 4k disc looks and sound great too. Instant classic. Worth getting the 4k disc too if you have a good home theater setup.
