This is a legit 4K transfer. Many new 4K releases are just upscaled to near 4K. The steelbook itself is not new for this release but is nice.

for about an hour, i thought this was a documentary. i mean, that guy looks a lot like that guy from 'splash'. not john candy but the other guy.

Saving Private Ryan is one of if not the best war movie of all time. And this blu-ray doesn not disappoint. The picture is crisp and the audio is amazing.

I saw this movie several times at the theater. I was blown away, no pun intended, at the in your face opening and the struggle of the human condition during war.

A terrific and influential war movie. The "storming the beach" scene is unforgettable, as are several others. The film looks and sounds great on blu-ray.
