With the 75th anniversary of D-Day, revisiting this movie was essential viewing. 21 years after the release, this movie still holds up and is a fantastic glimpse into the sacrifice so many heroes gave in the name of freedom. The picture quality on this 4K is amazing, and I doubt the movie has ever looked better than it does here.

My favorite war movie of all time finally on 4K blu ray!

Another amazing 4k transfer and the it sounds like you are in the battlefield when fights break out in the movie and picture is also great.

While this is still one of the best WWII movies, it's not a movie a tend to watch often due to the nature of the movie. With that out of the way, hows the audio & video in 4K? I surprisingly didn't notice any film grain that stood out while watching it. I'd say the transfer is likely top notch. The HDR impact was minimal, but likely as it should with the type of movie this is. Everything seemed to be really detailed overall. The Atmos track seemed decent but nothing crazy for me. Most youtube reviewers have this in their top 10 for 2018; I don't think it would be in my list though. The only significant base was in the final act with the tanks. It was very impactful in these scenes, but I was expecting a little more throughout the movie.

The 4K version is incredible! Audio is top notch!!!

The beach scene in the begging is an amazing use of Atmos. Probably one of if not the best uses of full surround effects. Height channels are pretty much exclusively used for whizzing bullets, which is my only complaint. HDR and 4k are not important in this film. Buy this for the Atmos track.

Great movie. Awesome in 4K only reason why it didn’t get 5 stars is when the soldiers are walking at the top of there helmets their would be a shutter in the picture.

The UHD version was as good as I hoped it would be. Images are stunning in 4K, and the sound is amazing in Atmos.

Saving private Ryan has a grainy visual effect occassionally in the movie that may bug some videophiles. Having said that the quality is still amazing, especially in the audio department. The movie itself holds up as a gritty, heart pounding war flick even20 years later.

The 4K rendition of SPR is a great 4K title to show off your 4K television. The HDR and atmos soundtrack are superb. A must have for video and audiophiles. Also the movie itself is a great movie, but the upgrade to 4K and atmos soundtrack are definitely added pluses.

Absolute classic. Picture quality is great and the sourround sound is amazing. Definitely recommend getting this 4K Ultra Bluray.

This is a movie absolutely worthy of getting in 4k. The depth of color, especially through a TV that displays in HDR, is amazing. The sound is incredible. Witness Spielberg and Hanks at their finest. I think I paid $15 and would do it again if I ever lost this copy.

The 4K video and sound on this Ultra HD DVD is a must-have for all movie buffs. The D-Day scenes at the beginning is probably the best ever made on film. Tom Hanks is excellent, and I highly recommend "Saving Private Ryan" for your movie collection.
