Originally I wanted to buy this movie just because it's one of the best war movies out there (my opinion). To top it off it's available in 4K, the visuals are absolutely amazing! I mean just stunning. This movie lives up to it's hype. Highly recommend!

One of the few movies about WWII that shows the horror our boys went through. Unlike all the unrealistic war movies (i.e. John Wayne type), this movie brings a semblance of realism to combat. It will force you to have a whole new respect for those who served.

I owned the standard DVD for many years. I saw this on sale at BB and decided to purchase. I don’t have a 4K TV yet but pooped in the Blu-ray to hear the difference with the lossless audio Over the lossy dvd. Wow. Hard movie to watch but great.

The cast in this film as well as the historical details are fantastic. Spielberg, Hanks, Damon and the rest of the cast are excellent. Great cameos along the journey. 4K upgrade was necessary as this along with Band of Brothers are a must.

With the 75 year anniversary of D-Day this year, this is a special time to revisit this great movie. It doesn't shy away from the horrors of the war, which make the achievement accomplished that day seem that much more incredible.

If you're considering buying this you already know how amazing this movie was and is. Seeing it in this format - 4K Ultra HD and especially in Dolby Vision with Dolby Atmos sound is amazing and a great way to experience it at home.

Great movie for WWII film buffs. Action and photography are excellent along with the terrific sound effects. 4K is the way to go with this film.

For commemorating D-Day, we decided to watch Saving Private Ryan. Unfortunately, we only had it on DVD. Sooooo, I ran to Best Buy to get in 4K. Great movie to begin with, and even better with the clarity and color depth of 4K/HDR.

I held off buying the Sapphire version because it seemed I always read bad reviews. I hoped an anniversary edition would get remastered but never did. Got duped buying the 4K Steelbook release thinking it had blu-ray version since I don't own a 4K player. So, I bought the Sapphire version, popped into my Sony blu-ray player and it looked like it did when I saw it in the theater! And I put it in my steelbook case. ; )

Favorite movie of all time just got better. Sound is awesome.

Saving Private Ryan is a excellent war classic really shows the terror and sacrifice these soldiers went through. This 4k remaster looks amazing images are clear and leaves and grass really pop with the HDR.

Simple but beautiful steelbook, easily the best WW2 film.

What can i say looks great on 4k colors are vibrant
