The beginning by it self is worth alone getting for a this blu ray movie. Best WWII movie ever

First off, the movie is what it is. Lots of site for you to get reviews on the film itself. I wouldn't have bought this if I didn't like the film and want it to be a part of my collection. I am a huge Steelbook fan, so I was very excited to find out Paramount was releasing a bunch of catalog titles in Blu-ray Steelbooks. I bought this along with 4 others in the same trip to Best Buy on the first day of their release. I was very disappointed to realize that Paramount chose to only include the first of the two discs that make up this title's BD release in non-steelbook packaging. That means for longer titles (like Private Ryan) you get no special features. No UV or digital copy, either. Very disappointing, but still didn't deter me.

Cool Steelbook, okay movie. I LOVE war movies. And this one was good, but I kept waiting for the emotional payoff, and it never came. The ending was very dry to me.
