Saving Private Ryan
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There is a to real gun battle @ the beginning of this film which was a real event that really happened, it may be to graphic for young children. Over all this is a good movie with good sound & the film was nicely done we have it on blu-ray there is also 4k version over all I find the blu-ray to be very good.

The beach scene in the begging is amazing
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The beach scene in the begging is an amazing use of Atmos. Probably one of if not the best uses of full surround effects. Height channels are pretty much exclusively used for whizzing bullets, which is my only complaint. HDR and 4k are not important in this film. Buy this for the Atmos track.

Great war movie
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After this first came out I got the regular dvd and later upgraded it to a blu-ray. Now that it is in 4k I upgraded again as it is one of my favorite war movies. If you like the original ,you'll love this in 4k,especially if you have a home theater system. Great movie.

Not the best looking but fantastic overall
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Saving private Ryan has a grainy visual effect occassionally in the movie that may bug some videophiles. Having said that the quality is still amazing, especially in the audio department. The movie itself holds up as a gritty, heart pounding war flick even20 years later.

Great 4K title
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The 4K rendition of SPR is a great 4K title to show off your 4K television. The HDR and atmos soundtrack are superb. A must have for video and audiophiles. Also the movie itself is a great movie, but the upgrade to 4K and atmos soundtrack are definitely added pluses.

Great seeing it in again but in 4k
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. One of my favorite movies. I have seen it multiple times but watching it again in 4k was great. This is not a sharp picture 4k like other movies but that gives it the quality for the timeline this story would have taken place in. A little grainy but sharp. The sound is amazing.

Excellent Movie and Just As Good 4K Transfer
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a movie absolutely worthy of getting in 4k. The depth of color, especially through a TV that displays in HDR, is amazing. The sound is incredible. Witness Spielberg and Hanks at their finest. I think I paid $15 and would do it again if I ever lost this copy.

Great WW II Movie!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The 4K video and sound on this Ultra HD DVD is a must-have for all movie buffs. The D-Day scenes at the beginning is probably the best ever made on film. Tom Hanks is excellent, and I highly recommend "Saving Private Ryan" for your movie collection.

One of my favorite war movies.
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This 4K HD remaster does the movie so much justice. All you need is a huge TV and a killer sound system, finding yourself front seat to the D-day invasions of Normandy is something most will never forget. Great actors and worth a watch multiple times.

Excellent Sound
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I owned the standard DVD for many years. I saw this on sale at BB and decided to purchase. I don’t have a 4K TV yet but pooped in the Blu-ray to hear the difference with the lossless audio Over the lossy dvd. Wow. Hard movie to watch but great.

One of the best 4K titles you can get
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First of all this is a great movie. One of the best war films ever. The 4K picture upgrade is very good. You will be very happy but where this movie really shines is in the sound department. This is one of the best Dolby Atmos tracks out there. The opening scene storming the beaches of Normandy is epic and the sound is spectacular with bombs going off everywhere and gunfire wizzing by your head. It is the kind of movie you throw on to show off your sound system. It is awesome!

Best ever release of this flick
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Saving Private Ryan has one of the all time great opening scenes in film history. The rest of the film is pretty good too, but everyone will always go back to those opening 20 or so minutes. The film is shot in a unique way with it's heavy grain and odd shutter speeds, and this 4K HDR presentation does a great job of handling those things and giving this film it's most organic to original theatrical run look. Also, the new Dolby Atmos sound mix is AMAZING. The steelbook is a fun bullet case.

The Best of The Best
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Primarily, I purchased this 4K version of the movie to get the most realistic watching experience available, short of seeing it on the big screen or viewing it live on the movie set. I have owned every version of this movie since it was a mini series on television. It is, in my opinion without a doubt, a superb visual experience and one of the best movies ever made. Though some would argue the extremely realistic scenes of killing, death and Mayhem are to extreme. I would argue, SO IS WAR ! The story is tough and yet compelling as to the choices men are asked to make and the camaraderie that drives the human spirit to a cause much bigger than winning a battle. The soldiers just want to survive and make it back home.
