The storming of Normandy beach at the beginning of the movie is so bloody, so brutal and so real as if you see a documentary. I used to enjoy the war movie, but after watching this I found war is not glorious or about heroism, it's about human being pushed to the front line to kill each other. A must see movie to somehow understand what war means.

Are you kidding me? This movie need no introduction by now. Unless you were born this year or last year. It's a fantastic movie, one of if not the best war movie I ever made. It's got it all. Will always bee top rated 5 star movie without a doubt.

I use an OPPO 203 with a Sony A8F tv and the 4K release is extraordinarily better than the regular Blu-ray release. Even the extra “noise” that Spielberg added the picture is phenomenal. One of the best 4K upgrades I have acquired for my collection.

It is truely awesome. Got mine at Best Buy last December on SALE for $9.99. It Looks much much BETTER now on BLURAY compared to the DVD version. FANTASTIC SOUND, PICTURE AND EXTRAS. This is a must own, this bluray is amazingly sharp you can clearly see all the dust, particles and small pores on the actor's faces.

I don't know if it's the quality of my computer speakers or overall my system in general. To profit from the sound potential that this movie has you have to watch it on a desktop configuration with the best set of speakers you can afford. This is the second time that I have purchased this movie and this special edition is even better.

Firstly, this movie is fantastic, and the audio and visuals are spectacular in the 4k release. Acting is great, cinematography, you name it, it’s there. The other review complains that the feature film is only in the 4k disc. This is nothing new. Almost if not every UHD steel book I’ve gotten has feature film on 4k and bonus materials in 1080p Blu-ray since it’s more of a behind the scenes type deal. The steel book is cool, but frankly not as good as some I’ve gotten before. Digital copy works on VUDU or Itunes

I am very satisfied with this DVD. You can watch it digitally without having to buy a DVD player. Just need to register an account on a video website, there is a code in the package of the DVD.

I absolutely love this movie. I have seen it at least 50 times and it never gets old. In my opinion it is one of the best if not thee best war movies of all time. It has an amazing cast, great story, beautiful cinematography and realistic special FX. If you have never saw Saving Private Ryan do yourself a favor and fix that!

One of the best war movies of all time in pristine Dolby Vision and amazing Dolby Atmos! My favorite combination of cinematography and excellent acting with visuals and audio as an added bonus! Do yourself a favor and buy it, especially if you've never seen it!

Crisp picture, super colors. Excellent example of how movies shot on film can benefit from the 4k scans. Sound was great as well on surround. It was like I was watching in theaters again, Great way to enjoy a modern classic.

Yes!! Love this movie, Now I can see so much more detail and Dolby Vision isn't as "flashy" as other, but that is not how the movie was shot, or intended, But I can see a huge difference from the Blu-ray. The Atmos puts this on a whole other level....or maybe 2. Don't hesitate on the one!

Where do I begin with this movie it’s amazing I’ve seen this movie in theaters on dvd remastered u name it and every time I see it gets better and never disappoints my father served for 20 years and he enjoys this movie and everything in it is spot on with the time and period of the war

If you're here buying this 4k version, it means you've already seen it! The Dolby Atmos alone is a reason to buy this... add HDR and 4k, why wouldn't you buy it! This looks and sounds amazing in this format... definitely a must have!

Superb cast magnificently orchestrated by Steven Spielberg. Opening war scene in Normandy Beach is brutally realistic. Among the cameo appearances are Vin Diesel, Ted Danson, Dennis Farina. As always, Tom Hanks will not disappoint you.

The movie speaks well on its own merit and nothing I can add to that. The 4K was remarkable in the color and definition. I already owned a blue ray copy and took the time to compare some of the scenes. In one scene you can see the light reflection on the blades of grass - spectacular!

Saving Private Ryan Steelbook is a must for every Steelbook collector. The story line and characters are captivating. Everything about this movie is Like storytelling at its best. I would erecommend this movie to everyone.

I waited almost TWO YEARS for this edition to get re-re-released! You cannot miss on this opportunity! This is a MUST HAVE movie for anyone who loves War movies! It is also a great addition for those steelbook collectors.

Best ever movie made in the history of war , the drama , the fiction , and tom hanks in it , it gives a amazing story telling , plus this is the first action and debut movie where Vince Diesiel appears see it for your self

This is genuinely a great war movie. The emotions and harshness of war go side by side. Great Cast and great fight scenes. Especially the first scene on Beach really gives you a feeling of being there if watched on a good home theatre experience. Saphire Version is the version to go for!

What superlative is left to add to this film? If you haven't heard, this is an alltime great film. It is included on almost every "Greatest War Films" list that exists.
