This is (in my humble opinion) the best war movie ever made! It is very realistic, so be forewarned. It really touches you in a special way, and is a great honor to those servicing for our country and those who have served for our country. It really is amazing how well this movie captures the overall spirit, fear, and heartache felt by those who dedicate their lives to us.

The acting, the cinematography, the plot, the DVD extras; they all deliver! Tom Hanks and the whole cast deserve praise for their roles in this one! Superbly done all the way around! Too graphic for children but everyone should see this movie at some point in their lives!

This is probably the greatest WWII movie of all time. I'm finally buying some of my fav DVDs I have with Blu Ray now and this was one of the first...awesome film !!!!

well what can i say saving private ryan is one of the very best war movies ever made i saw this in theater when it came out and i was like wow this movie is so good from start to finish so if you want to see a very good war movie with a good story and well acted than check this one out

I absolutely loved this film. It is a classic war film with Tom Hanks. And anything that has Hanks in it, usually draws some attention. Now, for the war movie purists, some parts of the movie aren't portrayed exactly, but don't let that keep you from seeing it. I highly recommend this film.

This is one of my all time favorite war movies ever made. Mainly because my grandfather stormed the beaches of Normandy. I love this movie.

One of Spielberg's best movies-SHOULD HAVE won best picture over Shakespeare in Love. Very intense war scenes-both at the beginning and ending of the movie. The less said about it if you haven't seen it the better. Looks much better on blu-ray than DVD.

This movies is amazing. Its very suspensful. The only problem i thought was it was very very gorey, but thats how war is. After watching this movie, i became more patriotic for our armed forces. To get the best out of this movie, i would recommend an awesome sound system.

this is the greatest war movie ever made. the movie its self shows you the lengths these men are willing to go to send private ryan home to his mother, while finding him will be harder though they in counter alot of german resistance on the way.

This is the most "Realistic" war movie I've ever seen. It's not for children! The graphics are amazing and detailed. There is a lot of "Gore," but war is hell. GREAT MOVIE!

Definately a great movie. Just a warning, there is a lot of blood and gore; but if you're okay with that it's excellent and definately worth the $10. I strongly recommend this movie.

This is the version to buy. Saving Private Ryan is raw and powerful. Blu ray transfer is stunning and the 2nd disc full of special features is a keeper.

The beach scene was amazing the color schemes are so realistic, it was like watching the movie for the first time.

Great movie with a great story and great acting. Put the two together and you got yourself one heck of a movie!!!!
