We were very excited to get one of our classic favorites on BluRay. My recommend would have been a 5 if the movie was as advertised to include a letterbox version of the movie, it wasn't but the greater quality image made up for it. My son didn't mind as it filled up the whole screen of our new 75" Sony from Best Buy

Bought two of these, one for my own use and pleasure and another to collect and preserve. While Schindler’s List is undoubtedly Spielberg’s magnum opus, this is a close second! Beautiful film and story, well shot and edited, and of course, the sets! Heavens! That said, the steelbook premium is well worth a re-buy for anyone who already owns a hard copy or even a digital one!

If you have a good set up for 4k this in one of the better movies I have seen. The storming of the beach scene is amazing

This is more than just a war movie. If you like war movies, you won’t find a better one. The entire cast is excellent.

This movie just looks great in blu ray. Also if you have surround sound it sounds amazing. Saving Private Ryan is a must own for everybody

I had this movie on DVD until I misplaced it. Found this one on sale..glad I did b/c I like this movie. Much better quality on blu-ray than DVD.

I purchased this disc for a good test of my new sonos surround system....it did not disappoint! The sound is amazing!

This movie sets the gold standard for all movies ever made regarding WWII. It gets no better than this movie. Startingly and shockingly realistic.
