The artwork of the steelbook is really cool. I had to pick one up, this being the first time the movie has been restored on 4K. I have a few problems with this item though. The case seems to be very similar if not the same steelbook they did for the blu-ray steelbook release (Even though it is a cool case). Also, if you like the fact that all 4K movies come with a blu-ray, this one does not. It does come with a digital code though.

This is almost a classic movie having been released nearly 20 years and it's still great! Too bad this version doesn't come with a digital copy.

Good war movie. They did a good job of covering the D-Day invasion. Good human interest story.

Wanted the classic movie when I heard it was an anniversary edition in the 4K format. Pretty close to brand new 4K title formats.

This is a Best Buy exclusive. So extras are missing. There is another steelbook of Saving Private Ryan which has the introduction by Steven Spielberg and the featurette that other versions has. If you're looking for the movie only, this will be a good purchase. If you like all the extras, you will be disappointed.

I have the metalpak and the regular blu-ray but with the recent Paramount steelbook reissues I had to buy this! Good film and and great steelbook as well

I recommend this movie to those who love to watch and own war movies. Saving Private Ryan movies is an old war movie but still is the best.

This movie, being 20 years old, was clearly not filmed in 4K. However, the upscaling was surprisingly really good!

Probably one of the greatest war movies of all time. Does a great job of capturing the brotherhood formed during combat. One of Spielberg's best.

I have loved this movie since it's release and am amazed at the visual difference in 4k. Worth buying again.

This is a visceral war film. It’s not one of great dialogue but what it lacks in substance, it thrives in style.

This is a great story of a family during WW2 and the extent the military would go through to bring back an only son.

Still a great movie, however the blu ray quality isn't as high as i would like. Still a decent purchase though.

I was astound how much 4k makes different in the older movies.

The name ‘steelbook’ is such a fallacy. First off, this was quite a disappointing release. This casing was done very poorly as it has a matte finish and nothing on the back, as far as a design goes. It is basically the same as the blu-ray steelbook that released a few years back, yet that one is more appealing because of the distinct color palette that was used unlike on this 4K release. The back just has the ‘Steelbook♦️‘ logo. No distinction or appeal with this one. I wound up returning this. Not worth the double-dip, in my opinion.

movies like these that are grain heavy dont need a 4k transfer blu-ray is just fine

as a military war movie buff, this is a 'must see' for any veteran. Truly loved the story line and acting.

One of Steven Spielbergs best and with Tom hanks leading the ship it makes for a Great War film
