Customers are saying

Customers are pleased with the game's quality, solid case, and attractive steelbook, citing positive feedback on the artwork and protection offered. Many appreciate the overall value for the price. While some reported bugs and the lack of a campaign mode, the positive aspects appear to outweigh the negative for most customers.

Rough launch, but classic Battlefield play wins

Best Buy's key delivery left a lot to be desired, not getting the key until after 7pm on launch date. Paying extra for early access, to then not be able to play with buddies who ordered on Origin and Steam was pretty frustrating. But once the key arrived and the nearly 50GB install completed, the game has been fun. Far better with friends, as the in-game VOIP doesn't exist at launch. It takes some time to learn the advantages for each of the new Specialist types, but you can always simplify back to familiar loadouts and go from there as you learn the rest. The launch was definitely a bit rough, with a lot of bugs and server issues, but that has largely settled out. The game is getting better as we continue to rank up and play. Most fun of all, 2042 delivers on those classic "only in Battlefield" cinematic moments. I haven't had this much fun in a BF game since BF4. Portal brings back some great maps and loadouts from the past, in particular one of favorites: Arica Harbour on Bad Company 2. I've been playing BF games since BF2, but have played them all in the years since. It's fun to revisit past design decisions in Portal. This release returns BF to a multiplayer only ecosystem, so be aware. No campaign like we've had since BF3, but well worth your time if you're willing to put in the effort to rank up and get better toys to play with.

****THIS IS ONLY A STEELBOOK CASE**** Keep in mind that this is only the steel book case. There is no game, no code, no instructions, no anything. Strictly just for a steel book case themed for Battlefield. My kid was convinced this was a special multiplayer only version, and there would be a code inside. No. Just a steel book. That’s all. For that, it’s a nice quality. But hardly worth full price.

Purchased the Scanavo Battlefield edition, and I’m really impressed with the overall quality. The packaging feels premium and well-designed, giving the product a collectible, display-worthy look. Everything inside was secure, neatly arranged, and showed real attention to detail. If you appreciate durable cases and thoughtful presentation, this is definitely a great buy. Highly recommended!

I absolutely hated this game when it first came out. I couldn't get rid of it fast enough. It finally went on sale at a ridiculously low price, so I picked the game up again and really enjoy it now after the numerous updates it has received. I like the use of AI opponents in the game. Adds an interesting component when playing against AI and then you come across an actual player. AI keeps the lobby full even though you may only have one real player on the other team. Sort of 1 v 1 with a twist.

Good case however the actual plastic that holds the disc is quite difficult to work with. Great bonus added in to the actual game.

I tried the 10 hour trial when the game first released in 2021 and it was a horrible. I've owned the game a couple of weeks since the price dropped to $10 and it is better but from from ideal. I can't think of a reason why voice chat isn't an option when Warzone 2.0 has regular chat & proximity chat. I guess in the year 2042 people don't talk. Anyway, now it's on GamePass and supposedly Season 3 brings changes. If you tried this game when first released, try the game again with an open mind. I suggest the 'Rush' mode and the 'Gunfighter' game modes.

Great game. Levels are not as good as Battlefield 4 because they are HUGE. Hard to get some where fast without a vehicle but once you get there the play is awesome. No campaign mode

I bought the Battlefield 2042 Gold edition and this steel case came with purchase. The game itself has had poor reviews but I enjoy it, and it has been recently getting more and more positive feed back. I like everything about the game.

If you enjoy the battlefield franchise, this is a great game. There are a lot of bugs on things still and random issues, but the game still is very playable and very enjoyable in the series. The splitting of designations allows for a lot more freedom as now you can play any character with any type (assault, medic, support, sniper) and then pick your weapon choice and load out be the class picking for you.

Love the game. The game was buggy at first. They’ve been continuing with updates for better game experiences. EA is listening to gamers for a better video game experience. My dislike is on the new maps, there is no close quarter combat like metro subway or similar.

I am liking Battlefield 2042, it is easily better than COD which is so dull, glitch ridden and regurgitated. Rainbow 6 never got it right after Black Arrow and Vegas and don't get me started on the PC gamers wet dream Fortshite which is fun if you have a PC, the higher FPS which allows you the advantage over console gamers hands down. Battlefield 2042 gives you a few other titles such as Bad Company Rush, 1942, Battlefield 3 so good value for money as well. The game itself is a massive improvement on 1 and V which like my ex girlfriend showed promise to begin with but got boring after a year or so. It has it issues granted but the positives that will follow in patched will most certainly outweigh the negatives. People are often too quick to jump on the negative bandwagon , don't read the back page and tell me you know what the book is about you have to read it page by page. Battlefield gives you the experience that Bad Company did as well as Battlefield 4 which were class. Half of these reviewers probably weren't playing the earlier games but I am happy with what I am seeing at the moment and will continue to play the game without demanding a refund. Keep up the good work is all I gotta say to the developers who worked through a pandemic to deliver this title and will continue to do so to give us the patches and season passes over the next few years I imagine
