This is a pretty good film that suffers from being a little too predictable.

Pretty good, just like I remember the books to be like. Hoping for another.

As an avid steelbook collector, this is the way to buy this film! Gorgeous art on the steelbook; however this steelbook should have (to me) been glossy versus this flat finish that it has. Not my favorite steelbook of all time, but I do like it quite a bit! The film, though, is great! I did not at all grow up with these books as I am "too old" in that regard, but I had heard of them. I went to see the film even though it was "only" PG-13, and I was shocked by how close this PG-13 is to R. A few more small things here and there, and you have an R-rated film. It's well acted throughout, it IS scary many times, and it does feel like a kids' film straight from the 80s due to much of the adult nature and sheer grossness of it all. It was clearly built to have a sequel, and I hope that it does!

Follows almost the same story lines as Stranger Things but with scarier monsters.

I really enjoyed this movie. If you love the book series you will love the movie.

We love many horror movies, this one is more gross than scary in my opinion.
