Obviously not designed for anyone who wants to get OTA channels with an indoor antenna. Our old HDTV had a better tuner, pulled in the basics except for VHS. This one got two channels with the same set up. Returned it thinking it was a dud, but the replacement was just as bad. The manufacturer told us " newer TVs have worse reception than old ones." Translation: newer TVs are made with the assumption people all have cable so we put sub par tuners in them. The speakers are the worst, sounds like they're made of tin cans. We have the TV hooked up to a Bose sound system or we'd barely understand a word. But for the price, what do you expect? If you want good sound, spend more money. If you want good reception, cave and get cable. If we had more disposable income, we'd never buy this TV. Good picture, though, I'll give it that.

If your looking for a good tv as a spare this might do it. Everything works good but the sound makes this tv a lemon.

Just got for motorhome, easy to use, lite to move around

This is a great addition to any small size room. It has great clarity, and I love how easy it is to operate. The DVD player was the main draw for me, and it works great !

Would purchase another of this make of TV if one broke down.

The set looks pretty good, the image is pretty and sharp. But the sound is awful. I thought I was hearing a TV in the movie that I was watching, or someone was on the phone in the movie. That's how bad it was. Also, I don't know why, but this TV received almost no channels with my antenna, whereas the older and smaller TV it replaced used to receive most of the regular broadcast channels in HDTV mode. I've got nothing but shopping channels and a few really bad spanish channels. Not even Korean channels! Worst reception ever, though I don't know why one TV should have worse reception than another.

poor customer service, company does not stand behind it's warranty. get the run around from scepter when attempting to make a warranty claim on their product. don't waste your money buying a scepter tv, spend extra 4 buy another brand

I do not know why any is saying the sound sounds bad when it does not to me.TV 1080p with my ATT service looks amazing.Great product
