First, you'll want to ensure that you're tuning your car radio to a "dead", unused frequency. Find a station that does not have an active broadcast and is preferably static covered and match the frequency on the transmitter to this radio station. The BTFM2 transmitter has a volume adjustment. If you still have the remote that was included with your transmitter, once you've paired and connected your phone to the Bluetooth FM transmitter, you can press and hold the volume + on the remote to raise the volume. You can also press and hold the track forward button on the face of the transmitter. This will ensure the volume on the transmitter is raised all the way up. The loudest volume setting on the transmitter is 8, and you should see 8 on the display of the transmitter. Once you've paired and connected your phone to the Bluetooth FM transmitter you can press and hold the volume + button on the included remote or press and hold the track forward/volume + button on the face of the transmitter to raise the volume on the transmitter to its loudest setting.
