It will not work well and get you lost and have to back track due to the sound cutting out. We experienced the phones sound being muted by local stations in the middle of nowhere that broadcast no audio so you will not notice your phones navigation audio is not playing. We got lost for the duration of the local FM station broadcasting nothing for about an hour so we lost money on gas and time due to this cheap powered FM transmitter. It should be strong enough to wipe out anything being right in the car but it’s not strong enough. Just missed the 15 day return window after we got back from a road trip across country. Drove us nuts changing stations and super dangerous as we could have ran out of gas going the wrong way thanks to the audio silently cut out. We stopped using this FM transmitter on our drive back and a just used the phones built in speaker. Not as clear but the audio never cut out once.

It is an fm transmitter there will also be that. It's good for needing something interim while saving up for that radio you really want.

Only detractor is the backlight seems to be 1-2 LED’s, not fully visible with glare from sun. If you need to change station while driving recommend using the remote

The ability to turn it off would be even nicer as my power points aren't on switched circuits, making it a battery killer over time..
