Customers are saying
Customers regard the MagicMOUNT CD Car Holder as a strong and easy-to-use mobile phone mount, praising its powerful magnets and secure hold. Many appreciate its convenient placement and ease of installation, enabling straightforward GPS use. However, some customers note that the product's reliance on a CD player slot may be a limitation for certain vehicles. The stability of the mount is also a point of discussion, with some users finding it more reliable than others.

Average mount
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not a really god mount , it does the basics of holding the phone ,provided you don't accidentally touch it , the magnet is not strong enough for an iPhone XR . Also because my radio has a removable face it interferes with the volume control
No, I would not recommend this to a friend- Cons mentioned:Cd player

Phone falls off
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not strong enough to hold my IPhone 8S. Phone has to lay flat not upright and if I accidentally reach over it, it falls off.

Better mounts out there
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The magnet is not strong enough. While driving if you hit a bump your phone may fall off of the mount. Obvious safety concern.

Returned it to the store.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not always the right angle/fit for your CD and console button layout. Could be better if it had more versatile options for the part that extends past the CD player. Grabbed the same brand’s magnetic mount, which is great.

Doesn't work
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you have a case, don't buy this. As soon as I put my case on (a thin silicone case) it would just fall. Don't know if it fits in the CD case or not, didn't even get that far.

Not worth it
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not compatible with all cars. Not easy to install. The manual isn’t easy to understand. Not worth it in my opinion.

Might work for you, but not for me.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Before I start in on this product, I'd like to say that I have several other Scosche mounts which have been perfectly fine. No complaints about quality or the item per se. I could see how it might work for some, and as pointed out might be a good mount for a rental car. One reason I bought it was that it mounts the phone in a location that isn't visible as a windshield or dash mount would be. A person would have to walk up to the car and look inside to see it, so there's a little "out of sight, out of mind" protection. But it won't work in my car (BMW 3-Series) because it places the phone right in front of the display for the stereo and computer. It is also not stiff enough to support my iPhone 8S without a lot of vibration. There is a set-screw that allows you to sort of lock it into the CD slot, but it doesn't affect the vibration, and you should make sure that screw won't leave a mark on the exterior of your CD player before you tighten it too much. Finally, my car has a manual transmission and the mount positions the phone in such a way that no matter what I do my hand hits the phone when I shift. And of course you wouldn't know any of that until you buy the mount and actually use it, which is why I can't "recommend to a friend." If the circumstances are right, this could be a good solution for you - but I'm probably going to return the one I bought.

Excellent Quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this on a referral from a friend that has tried 3 different ones before he came across this mount and said it was the best one to get, turns out I agree with him 100% this holder is exactly what I was looking for and the price was spot on. I really like that I have the magnet on my phone and still can use my case ‘ I have the iPhone 6s silicone case’ and you would never be able to tell the case fits perfectly back on. The one thing to note is you need to place your thumb on the rotation ball to give it some good pressure to snap in but once it clicks just screw the neck on and it’s good to go.

great phone holder
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a 2016 Honda HRV. The CD player is located at the top of the center console. I have an Android phone, Nexus 6P and wanted to use the offline map app, Sygic GPS map, but needed a convenient location to view it. I bought this mount and inserted in CD slot (I don't use CDs), tightened the mount; holds up great!! The phone is 6.25" and I view it landscaped for maps, perfect! With the app, I can hear thru the speakers the turn-by-turn with streets names, perfect! In the HRV my phone can connect for phone calls and Pandora music (that is enough for me). The magnet is attached to the back of the phone (with film to protect the phone finish) and then I have a thin case over the phone back. The mount and phone magnet holds up great even over bumps and there is no bouncing of the mount. I think it depends on the vehicle and the location of the CD slot whether this works for you or not. I'm happy with it, thanks!

Pathetic Unit
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I own multiple Solo units. Generally they perform well. The latest version of the Solo is horrible. There are so many false-positive signals I have no idea if the law is actually present. Additionally, the customer service at Escort is awful. There has to be a better option.
