The surface was a smooth clean surface so it really shouldnt have fallen off. Ended up having to go with a much larger footprint on a different model. Not worth the price.

Well, for a brief moment, then released dropping the phone to the floorboard. I guess it was not designed for my vehicle's dash. Couldn't use the vent clip because it was too short to extend past the dashboard (Chevy Traverse).

The MagicMount uses a pressure sensitive 3M automotive grade adhesive which can adhere to most surfaces, including textured surfaces. Preparation of the surface area and the Scosche product is vital for successful installation. Use the included cleansing wipe to clean the area of the dashboard where you wish to secure the MagicMount. Ensure the cleaned area is dry, then firmly hold down the base of the mount onto the desired dashboard location for 1-2 minutes. For best bonding performance, allow 24–48 hours before attaching your mobile device to the MagicMount. It is recommended to find the flattest, smoothest area in your car that would best suit your needs. Sharp edges and vertical mounting positions may not be optimal mounting locations for the MagicMount.
