On a really really cold day for my area (9 degrees) this device would not jump start my car. It indicated the battery was not in a condition suitable to jump. I checked the water levels in each cell and found them a bit low. After adding water, it still would not start. The circuit that checks battery condition still indicated it was not okay to jump. I hooked up a pair of regular cable to another car battery and jump started it. Granted it took a few cranks but this device fails when the regular old-fashioned method works. All claims of this out performing normal means seem to be b.s. It would probably work in warm conditions but don't count on it when it's cold.

This is great to have. Gives you peace of mind against a car that won’t start because of a dead battery.

Works when it wants to. Worked great at first then started acting funny.

I didn't even get a chance to see if this would successfully jump my battery. I put black on black and went to put red on red, when the spring popped out of the clamp and somewhere down in between plastic and metal. I could do not locate it. It had to have melted because there was a smell coming into my car for about a day. For the price, this should be made so much better. What a waste.

Don't waste your money! I used it today for the 1st time and my car won't start! The item is also not returnable by the time you find out that it doesn't work. Don't waste your money.

It takes so long to charge when the power is low also i don't think if the output is upto the advertised, the charging cord is so fake that it can easily break

My battery died on me at a Best Buy parking lot thankfully. The wait for road assistance was very long so this did the trick. Upon opening the box, it was about halfway charged so we walked over to a nearby restaurant to grab a bite while it charged some more. It’s about the size of a brick but half the depth so it’s compact enough to take along in a backpack, or tote. It’s so easy to use. We will be taking this to vacation as it also can charge smart phones and tablets.

It might boost a car with a weak battery but it sure won't boost one with a [dead battery, (later tested fine after charging)]. I'd return it if I hadn't already thrown away the original box. It'll be useful in other ways I'm sure.

No working well, Sometimes it doesn't turn on well, it turns off while charging

Didn't work first two times I tried to use it. Tried starting two compact cars that were slow cranking, and it failed to start either one.

This is exactly what I was looking for. Unfortunately, when trying to initially charge the device, it would not complete the charge as the last light kept blinking for over 24 hours. So ended up returning the item.

Let me start by saying that I NEVER write reviews. I’ve bought thousands of dollars of products from Best Buy over the years and never felt compelled to leave a review until now. This power bank from scosche is an amazing product. I drive a 392 challenger with a big engine and big battery and wasn’t sure if this thing would be able to jump start the car. I’m pleasantly surprised, not only can this jump my car but it can also jump several others and charge phones without needing a recharge. I drove around with a dead battery for a month because I knew this thing would get the car started and it never let me down. This an outstanding piece of equipment. You won’t regret buying it.

Used this once, now it won't charge back up. Would not recommend. It will leave you stranded.

I tried to use it to start my ATV and car but it didn’t work for either.

This car charger w/power bank and flashlight is a game changer. It allows you to jumpstart your car without the assistance of another person or vehicle. The flashlight and power bank is a bonus. I also like that it is very compact.

I purchased this for a Chevy Silverado. It was the only jumper available at my local store. I was heading out of town and had no time for an online order, so I went with it. I was a bit worried it wouldn't work, I'm used to those big clunky ones, but I'm very surprised at just how well it does work. It's very easy to use and jumped the truck immediately, no problems at all. I've also used the flashlight and charged cell phones when we lost power due to a hurricane recently. I've not used more than 25% of the charge yet. I like the storage case and how compact it is, takes up very little space and charges fast. This has been one of the best purchases I've made and I highly recommend it to keep in your vehicle or just in your house for emergencies.
