Infinitely customizable, amazing switches, options
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In brief, this is the best controller I've ever used. I've used other elite and pro models from the big console manufacturers and they do not even come close to this. If you're in the market for a new controller, spend a little bit extra and get this. It's 100% worth it. You'll need the icue software to take full advantage of the scuf envision pro, but you don't have to run it all the time. You can install it, create and save your profiles, then delete it forever if that's your thing. I would not recommend having it run in the background when windows launches as it conflicts with a lot of other peripheral/rgb control software. If you're deep in the corsair ecosystem though no worries, you're good to go. So specifically what makes this controller so good? Two things really; build quality and options. The build quality of this is unlike any controller I've ever used before. The omron switches on every single input give a very satisfying tactile click when actuated. The d-pad, face buttons, back paddles, bumpers, joystick buttons, side action buttons, and profile buttons all have these switches. Only the menu/navigation buttons don't have these switches, but they're not for gameplay so who cares? The feel of these is so good, so satisfying it's hard to explain. If you're accustomed to the squishy ambiguous feel of every other controller on the market this is going to blow you away. The tactile feedback you get from these switches is great for making quick precise inputs. I love it, and am already so spoiled by this controller that I can never go back to the standard ones. Next is the options. This is where things get pretty daunting actually. When you fire up the icue software you're hit with a ton of options. Every button can be remapped to whatever you want. You can record macros and map them wherever you want, set combination keys, media controls ... I mean really your imagination and familiarity with the software are the only real limiting factors here. You can save up to 5 profiles that you can switch to on the fly, and you don't have to have icue running for this. You can save all of your profiles directly to the controller which is a nice touch and should really be a standard feature across these types of products at this point. Out of the box I was trying to figure out what to do for my first profile, and eventually I created a custom setup for SF6. I like the modern controls a lot, but I miss the granularity you get with classic. Then it occurred to me that I could use classic controls and set some custom combination presses to the back paddles which are perfectly positioned for an easy press. I've been using the controller like this for a few days now and it has been a game changer. I'm not suddenly playing like Menard or anything, but I definitely feel like I've bumped up my gameplay as a result, and I'm still getting comfortable with this setup. Will probably change it in the future, but this is a great first test case. Oh also another amazing feature, the triggers. By default they function like any others, a smooth press for a normal analog experience. Flip a little switch and they lock in position and instantly actuate like all of the other buttons. Fantastic for fighting games and shooters. Good stuff. The overall feel of the controller is great. The non-slip coating feels and looks terrific. The vibration motors are strong and accurate. It's also substantially heavier than any other controller I've ever used, which isn't a bad thing. It feels great in the hand, you really just have to try it out to get it. The envision pro comes with a wireless dongle, flip a switch on the controller to change to wireless mode. It works perfectly. No noticeable lag when using wireless. Feels good man. There's also a good bit of customization possible with the controller hardware itself. You can change out the faceplate and anti friction rings to whatever you want. I like the default look, but it's nice to have options. More importantly though you can swap out the thumbsticks for different ones. In the box are two convex sticks, one with a much higher stem. I could see how this could be useful if you want a wider range of motion for more precise aiming in a shooter or something, but I like the much lower height. Also I strongly prefer the default concave sticks, but that's me. Options are nice. If you don't want to use the back paddles they're removable with an included tool, and there are little plastic blanks included in the packaging as well that just slot into place so the surface of the controller remains flush. Pretty thoughtful, but I like those back paddles and plan to use them. You also get a very thick braided USB c to a cable that comes with an a to c adapter. It's cool I guess that they give you an adapter, but I'd rather have a standard c to c cable with a c to A adapter. Doesn't matter in the end, options is the name of the game, and you can always use whatever usb c cable you already have which is exactly what I'm doing. There's also a little bit of RGB lighting on the bottom which is fine. I guess. It's mostly convenient for seeing which profile you have active at a glance, but the default rainbow strobe effect feels wasted on a controller. I'm looking at my monitor when I'm using this, and since I like to use it in wireless mode it's just contributing unnecessarily to battery drain. Still, options. There's a mic jack at the bottom. That I haven't tested because I don't have a wired headset, but sure. Again, options. It's a just a fantastic controller. I'd recommend this to anyone that games with a controller on pc, even if occasionally. I mostly use keeb and mouse, but I do play enough third person action games with a controller, as well as 2d indies, that this slots neatly into my daily gaming use. The level of quality in general and the insane amount of customizability easily put this thing far ahead of the competition. I've been interested in scuf controllers for years, but wasn't super interested in the more console-centric models. With the envision pro that's no longer a problem, icue has you covered. I didn't even mention everything the software does, but it's too comprehensive to detail in this already overlong review. If you want a GREAT controller for pc, look no further. This is the one.

A Great Feeling Controller
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a controller that feels great in the hand from the rubber grips, triggers, and buttons. It has enough weight to feel very solid without being too heavy. The concave thumb sticks have enough grip and feel smooth as well as the triggers. The D-pad feels decent but not as solid as the rest of the controller and has a little too much movement. The controller includes taller thumb sticks that can be swapped with the installed ones. I prefer to always use the shorter ones but that is just my preference after trying both. There may be games that those are more suitable for. All the buttons have a clicky feel to them. I personally prefer a smoother button. The buttons do work great and whether or not you like the clicky feel is simply a matter of preference. I just wanted to mention that those are the kind of buttons that exist. The controller has 4 back buttons. They are easy to press and in a location that makes me press them by accident when I didn’t want to. I just ended up disabling them. There is a really great app called iCue that comes with the controller. While it is simple to use and very logically laid out, it includes all of the features you could want. You can select one of the stick and trigger profiles depending on what type of game you want to play including shooter, sports, racing, etc. You can also create your own profiles to select from. It gives you a list and you just select the one you want and that is it. You can separately select the same or different profiles for the sticks and triggers. You can also remap the buttons to any button you want by clicking the buttons on the drawing of the controller and selecting the button you want it to be. You can save all the trigger and stick profiles and the button mappings to another profile and simply select it from a list in the app. The app also allows you to disable any buttons. I found that useful for disabling the rear buttons that I found myself constantly pressing by accident. The bottom of the controller has a lightbar that you can select colors and patterns to use. The app has a list of light patterns to use, or you can create your own. Based on the spec, the lightbar supposedly has multiple segments but I was only able to get the lightbar to change colors on a single segment. I’m not sure why that is. Again, this is nicely laid out in the app like the rest of it. The lightbar is small enough to really be insignificant. The battery charges quickly and lasts a long time, especially compared to other controllers. It has a nice indicator that shows when it is charging and done charging, and how much battery is left. I did run into one problem with it. I tried it with several games, and all worked well except it is not compatible with The Last of Us Part 1. For some reason it won’t allow you to reload your weapon but switches weapons instead, and this is with the default button mappings which should work so you can’t use it to play that game. I’m not sure if it is a one off or if there are other games it is not compatible with, but I thought it is worth mentioning. Overall, a great controller I would recommend and hopefully it is compatible with all the other games.

Wow, so smooth controls and build quality
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First this control is worth every penny, I am not a gamer but wow the fluidity of the controls is of the chart. I feel like I am holding a device made by NASA. The build quality feels durable, the buttons have great movement range. The sensitivity of all the control buttons, keys and so on are just so precise and fluid. The paddles all four are remap-able. The 5 G keys are easy to program with shortcuts or advanced macros. The joystick and again the paddles are very precise and durable. They just feel like they can take a lot of abuse. The additional side action buttons are just more fun and easy to reach with your index finger, perfect placement and again remap-able. The mechanical buttons have a nice click feel and accessible on the d pad and the ABXY buttons. The wireless technology is rock solid and I found the latency non existent. This allowed for even more precise game play in a relaxed or moving around situation. My connection has remained solid. The unit finally had a nice textured grippy fully and never skipped from my sweaty hands and palms.

Better than the best?
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ll admit it… I’m not really a controller player… except for something like Madden or flight and racing sims where mouse and keyboard controls don’t hack it. For those cases I’ve been using another brand’s console controller and have been pretty pleased with it but along comes the SCUF Envision Pro with a better feel and more customization. Leave it to Corsair to bring innovation to gaming. Whether it be their keyboards, mice, headphones or other computer peripherals Corsair has really stepped up their game and tying everything neatly in the iCUE software. One ecosystem allows for less apps and less resources on your system. There is nothing I hate or dislike about the Envision Pro. Everything it does checks off boxes of what I need. The pro has a comfortable textured grip and it appears to weigh a little bit less than the other guy’s Elite which is probably the closest thing to the Envision Pro. I say close but is it really??? See more below… The iCUE software allows for customization of all your Corsair components and adding the SCUF to the mix is a true blessing. It sports the standard controller buttons but with extras! • Typical ABXY buttons • Typical D pad • Typical 2 joysticks w/buttons o iCUE lets you adjust your dead zones • Typical 4 front edge triggers o 2 of these have a selector to chose between quick or slow response • I’ve seen nothing else with 2 side buttons that the Envision Pro has • The 4 grip buttons are only available on Brand X’s Elite • Only on the SCUF do you find 5 programmable buttons on the back edge. o You can program these for just about anything, including macros o They are in easy access with your thumbs • RGB lighting can be sync’d with your other Corsair devices Another nice touch is the side switches and 2 of the grip switches can be deactivated with replaceable covers. Snap off the switch/grip buttons and snap on the covers for a hardware defeat rather than removing action in the iCUE. Replacing the trigger with covers will keep you from accidentally activating something you don’t want. If you prefer not to have iCUE running you can create and load your controller mapping so you can exit iCUE and still have your desired control. You can use the SCUF either as wireless (with included dongle) or USB (using included cable w/USB-C adapter). After using the Envision Pro for a week I can honestly say it's now my favorite PC controller and I'm going to have to rethink my choices when it comes to my consoles. I highly recommend the SCUF Envision Pro

Buttons Everywhere!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm a big fan of lots of buttons. If my mouse doesn't have at least eight buttons on top of the standard clicks then it's not for me. The SCUF Envision Pro fulfills my button fantasy in controller form. Buttons on top, side, and bottom! Every single one can be configured to your preference and even assign macros through iCue. This make it useful for everything from shooters to rpg's. The stick are some of the most responsive I used in a while. I like a 0 dead zone, so if I touch the stick I want to see movement. Anything less than that and it feels like I'm playing through molasses with delayed reaction. The travel is smooth and the default acceleration profile doesn't need any tweaking for me. The only thing I don't like is that the sticks are too slick and my thumbs slide every-so-often. I'll either need to put grip tape or get caps for the tops. I do wish they'd have had two short domed sticks instead of just one short and one tall. The buttons are all responsive and truly are like mouse clicks. Very little travel with a nice click to know you've depressed them. The only buttons I don't really like are the rear paddles. Maybe I need to work on changing my grip, but activating takes a little conscious effort instead of a tap and keep going. The side buttons are another beast. I love them! The require nothing more than a shift of my index knuckle to activate. They come in hand for quick reload, heal, or whatever you use often. Those buttons are genius. And the bottom buttons. There are programmable buttons all along the bottom. So many buttons! I'm in love. Some folks like simplistic controls, but I love lots of options and buttons. I can't see myself ever using another controller that brings less than what the SCUF Envision Pro brings. Only time will tell if the sticks hold up, but right now I'm enjoying the heck out of them.

Much better than the other controllers!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have recently used the controller and here are my thoughts on it. So first off, it has been a great controller. I used to use the newest edition xbox controller and felt there was not much customization, if any at all. Usage/function: 5/5 Using the controller has been great with its premium feel and responsive buttons and triggers. They do not feel clunky at all and are quite springy. Downloading and connecting to the desktop app was quite easy and the directions to do so were clear. Once you open the app, you are greeted with so many features and customizations. Using the controller during video games was also a nice feel. Everything felt accurate and smooth. Battery life: 5/5 Battery life was great on the controller and I did not worry about my controller dying. I can say I get around 20 hours of battery life which lasts me about a week. Charging is easy as I j just have to plug it in with the provided USB-C cable. Features/Customization: 5/5 This controller has a ton of customization options from software to hardware and reponse. The app allows you to customize different mapping to each button, trigger and bumpers as well as there is added functionality with additional side bumpers, and 4 under the controller. Also you can change out the joysticks for taller ones and change out the feel of the under buttons. You can also customize to responsiveness of the joysticks and how you want them to respond when applying in direction. Feel/build quality: 5/5 This controller feels amazing in the hands. There is a good amount of weight but not too heavy. The grips are texturized but I did not feel sweaty or sticky throughout my gameplay. Upon opening the box, you can see the premium presentation and Scuf guides you throug opening the box and what you should do first. They really went above and beyond. At first I was hesitant because of the layout of the joysticks because I am used to the lay out of the xbox controller and PS controllers were never my favorite but this controller feels great and comfortable during my gaming sessions.

An amazing controller
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First thing you need to know with this controller is to make sure you install the iCue Software from Corsair to make sure you get the driver needed and device and to customize what each button does, to lighting etcetera. I will say Corsair has improved the iCue software and so far it has been set to be only as big as is needed. It now is much more lightweight and works well. I did have to reboot after connecting the controller to my PC, but that isn't a huge, and having the ability to customize within iCue is very nice. The controller itself feels amazing, the triggers and dual sticks are responsive, and you can adjust the sensitivity of the the triggers and sticks to dial it in. The buttons have a very nice responsive click and didn't notice any delay. I mostly used the controller for driving games like Forza Horizon or The Crew, as I find driving via a Mouse and Keyboard a bit odd. I most likely will pick this up and use it during Cyberpunk 2077 driving/combat sections and being able to customize the buttons/profile and everything will make sure I can be as comfortable using this as a mouse and keyboard. Overall this feels great with more buttons then I have ever needed and its amazing. You need a controller that works well wireless or wired this is definitely one. Much better then even the XBOX Elite II I have been using before and this has become my daily driver so to speak.

Not bad, but is it worth the money ?
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There are ALOT of positives to this controller. The abxy buttons feel amazing with their short actuation and very tactile feedback. The thumbsticks are very smooth and have a moderate spring tension that’s consistent through the entire movement area. The dpad has some nice microswitches to give each direction a mouse click-like feel. Thats about where the awesome ends for me. The thriggers actuate very nicely, but L2 and R2 have a pretty sharp edge to them that is pretty uncomfortable to play with for more than like 20 minutes. The side action buttons are a cool concept, but fire a bit too easily. I ended up removing them and replacing the buttons with the included cover plates. The battery life is VERY short. I’ve put about 40 hours on this device and it seems to only

Solid controller
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Honestly, icue isn't as buggy as some claim. If you follow the instructions for the software setup and witeless syncing, you're not gonna have problems. The functionality of this controller is great. it's not tough on the hands as it's very comfortable. As well as the super responsive button inputs and joystick reactions. First controller where I feel i want to be gentle with it and dont have to mario smash the buttons. The box as well is a very nice touch and adds to the premium look of the controller. Glad there it came with swappable sticks.

Unfortunately, a lot of flaws
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The controller feels great in your hand. Not every game is compatible with this controller. After four months I have stick drift already. Corsair is definitely better with their warranties than scuff was. i’m also having issues with the controller re-connects and loses disconnection through the corsair software why they don’t make it so you can change out the thumb stick like the PlayStation pro controller does is unbelievable.
