The drive works faster than a standard laptop drive, but is invisible while in use. It is certainly an excellent drive to consider when replacing laptop hard drive or for upgrading to a larger drive.

Purchased this drive for my daughters Asus gaming laptop, and I don't regret the buy. Installed windows 8.1 and was pleased by the speed. Not as fast as a SSD but much faster than a normal HDD.

I was skeptical at 1st but works great with ps4. I used this hard drive to increase the storage of my 500 gb ps4. This replacement is a must if you only have 500gb and it's easy to replace.

I bought this drive to replace the drive in my mid-2010 13" MacBook Pro and give my MacBook at least another year's worth of life. It was easy to install and I was able to do a clean install of OS X 10.0.2 (Mavericks). It took a couple of days of use to see the real benefit of the hybrid drive. I have noticed that boot-up time is much faster (although not as fast as an SSD drive would be) and my most frequently used programs are definitely loading faster.

I love the huge capacity of this drive; however, in comparison to a standard hard drive, it only boots about 10 to 15 seconds faster. It is still in my opinion half the speed of an SSD. The box is misleading with information that it has SSD performance with standard hard drive capacity. It is a standard hard drive with 8GB Nand flash memory acting as cache memory. This does improve performance enough to justify an additional 30 or 40 dollars over the cost of a standard hard drive. I wound up returning mine and swapping it for an Intel 240GB SSD. To me the pure SSD is really the much better choice, but if you want a standard large capacity hard drive go for this one.

I installed this into my late 2009 Mac Mini and it has breathed new life into it. Was easy to clone my hard drive and this is a good drive. Not as snappy as a SSD but still very good.

Purchased to upgrade hard drive in PS4. I've always used Seagate hard drives to upgrade in my PC, Mac and gaming systems. They stand behind their products as well. No issues EVER!

My 2011 Mac Book Pro had been getting slower and slower, the 500gb hard drive constantly filling up. I kept up with software updates, etc, and spent a lot of time doctoring it. Performance had dropped way off, so I decided to try to upgrade the hard drive myself. I had done it for Windows PCs, did my research to make sure this drive would work for a Mac....And when I carefully opened up the Mac Book, I was pleasantly surprised to find this drive was nearly identical to the factory-installed drive inside my Mac Book. Same brand, just more memory and faster.. IT WORKS GREAT!!! It boots up in like 1/4 of the time thanks to the SSD. It has been running quick, smooth and trouble free. Make sure you get the static guard, and good torque screwdrivers, which Best Buy keeps in stock. It was an easy fix. I'm sorry I waited to do it, out of fear that I'd ruin my Mac, but I'm so glad I finally did it, and did it by myself.

My drive in my asus republic of gamers laptop went bad. Didn't need to spend the money for a SSD so bought this drive and it worked perfect and faster then the original drive

I recently purchased this hybrid drive. For those of you who don't know, this has a 1 TB 5400 RPM conventional hard drive along with an 8GB SSD for caching. This can improve loading times for commonly used Apps. If you already have a 1TB hard drive in your PS4 I would not recommend buying this just for the 8GB SSD hybrid. But if you have the stock 512 GB HDD with your PS4 I would recommend buying this. Pros: +Hybrid technology that decreases loading speed of commonly used applications/games +5400 RPM is better for a PS4 due to lower power consumption and heat produced. For a laptop it probably isn't worth it.

Installed in MacBook Pro-2010. After the installation I was able to see intimidate improvement in speed. The primary use for my computer is for videos and Pictures.

The ps4 installation was ridiculously easy. You do however need a flash drive as well for the ps4 update you will be doing on your CPU. All send & done. It's the perfect drive for updating your ps4! Glad I picked it up. It's fast & has plenty of room for games,updates, movies ect.

Bought this as an upgrade when buying a PS4 because did not want to wait for an online order. Drive works, appears to be quick but difficult to judge since its not used in a system where I can benchmark it or check for any errors. Decent price for retail buying.

I check it out online first and these is as close as you get to an SSD it boots up my MacbookPro in 27 sec. Before it was about aminute. The rest speaks for it self.

Installed this on my PS4 to replace the stock 500GB drive. Noticed a slight improvement in the load times, not a lot by some standards but better than stock.

Product was recommended by a friend and I used it to replace my hard drive in my PS4 and haven't had any problems, now I have to buy another for my desktop.

This laptop hard drive works great, it's fast and quiet. The cable worked very early and fast. I recommend this to anyone wanting to up grade a laptop.
