First foray into replacing a 500GB Steam Machine hybrid drive, which decimated my son when it failed! He's an uber-fan of Valve. Piece of cake to install, but we all know the cake is a lie!1TB gives double the space and we transitioned from Linux to Windows 10 to allow access to 1000's of more games. OK, we gave into the Dark Side!!! But this is the first step in teaching him the hardware, next I complete his training in the software and together we shall rule the galaxy as father and son! The Emperor HAS foreseen this....

Originally purchased as an internal drive on my macbook pro as an upgrade for my 500 gb drive. I encountered some issues with drive with sleep mode not waking up. I ended up replacing it with a true ssd drive and now use it as an external backup drive and it works great for that purpose, but I would not recommend it as a primary drive in a macbook pro.

Works as it should. A great way to speed up performance. Very easy to install and with the right software re-image and done. Great deal!

Price was very reasonable. Not one negative on this purchase. Easy to install, good directions. I have decided to buy another one for my other laptop!

Hybrid drive at this price point is a good value for high performance and expanded storage needs in a laptop or desktop upgrade

I replaced a broken 5400 RPM hard drive with this 7200 RPM hybrid hard drive. Frequently used programs seemed to load more quickly. I did not notice an improvement in boot time. File copying speeds did improve. However,any of these benefits could have come from the 7200 RPM vs 5400 RPM. All things considered this is a fast hard drive for a laptop.

i use the ssd+hdd on my xbpx one and it loads the games faster than a standard hdd. pluis it gives me another tb of save space.

The hardrive is a little exoensive but it is worth it. It does load everything faster and 1 tb is pretty good yo store a lot.

I looked at this versus an all solid state, and this was a better price for more memory. My 2008 Mac runs faster and has way more space.

This is an amazing, affordable upgrade! The SSDD/HDD gives great performance and huge storage!

I had my new Hard drive installed by the geek squad, and I feel like I just got a new Mac! Nice! It may be a tiny bit slower than my dream state, but it's great for a fraction of the cost of buying a new MacBook Pro!

I go this for an upgrade for a 13" Apple MacBook Pro. Fast and reliable. Easy to install and a great upgrade for any Laptop, not just a MAC.

Originally bought to use as a clone using Macrium reflect, but disk was not visible within windows. It requires a software download and execution outside of windows. It then created 2-500gig partitions rather than a single terabyte partition. Opened a log with Seagate and I had to pry information out of them. Not worth the bother.

Sony makes it super easy to switch out your harddrive and this is a great one to do just that. It is a hybrid drive so... Performance improvements are going to be marginal but the extra space to cost ratio is hard to beat. Couldnt be easier to do it yourself either, read through a tech artical that walked me through it or im sure there is a Youtube video out there as well but if you have a little extra change and a spare 30 minutes this is a great quick and easy improvement for your PS4.
