Get alternative for the price

Great idea for the person who wants an SSD but doesn't want to pay the SSD price. You set it up like a regular hard drive and the Smart chip inside of it decides what use the most of an stores that on that 6gb SSD drive. In time the hard drive gets faster.

Great for PS3 HDD upgrade

Increased Speed

This one was a bit more costly than a standard 1GB drive but I decided to give it a try. Glad I did, it increased boot time over the stock 750GB HD significantly. Great product.

Replacement was so easy!

I was skeptical at my ability to successfully replace the Macbook hard drive in my daughter's computer. A nice tech in the Apple Store showed me how, and I also watched a YouTube video. It was super easy and the drive works like a charm!

Great product...

I bought this drive to replace the 500GB 5400RPM stock drive that failed on me, and it makes a huge difference. Overall my laptop is way faster. Loads and shuts down super fast and programs pop up as quick as you can click them.

Easy install, didn't notice much difference

After I cloned my old HDD and got my computer booted up, everything worked fine. I have not noticed much of a performance increase. Disk read/write testing showed an improvement from approx 40 Mbps average read write to about 90 Mbps average. Real world improvements haven't really been noticed. Overall this has been an ok upgrade, but I probably should have just gone with a better 7200 RPM HDD or just spent the coin on a true SSD.
