Little pricey, but better performance than regular HD; the SSHD improve win 7 boot, load times and shutdown times. Simple HD replacement for those with the small technical know how

Great Price, Fast Boot time, regular 5400 rpm speed when copying & using files. Overall if you don't want to spend a ton of money for a 1TB SSD Drive, This Seagate 1TB SSD + HDD Hybrid Drive has a Super fast Boot time, Ton of Storage, and great value for the price and an Excellent Warranty. I highly recommend this drive if your budget is average.

Bought this for my MacBook Pro. It was easy to install and I noticed a nice boost in performance with the hybrid SSD. Great value for performance and capacity compromise.

Decent performance boost. Mix of the capacity of a standard hard drive with the speed of a SSD. Not quite as fast as a SSD, but for most things it is noticeably faster.

I like this upgrade to my laptop. The drive does seem a little faster that my old 500GB, and gives me enough storage to store my pictures/home videos on the laptop and back them up to an external drive.

I bought this to upgrade my 500gb internal laptop hard drive and it definitely was a great choice. It's now faster and twice the memory for a reasonable price.

Great size and it's solid state... our engineers have been replacing their laptop hard drives with these for the speed and size. Seem stable and reliable so far.

Has SSD to help speed things up and HD for larger storage capacity. Use resource intensive application and have seen a noticeable improvement in load times.

I replaced the hard drive in my sons Lenovo. It was a 5400rpm. This hybrid drive has no lag and speeds up the boot time and performance of steam.

This drive was purchased due to a hacking/virus/malware mess on a laptop. Replacing the harddrive and starting from scratch eliminated the problem! This machine was accidently run for a few weeks without virus protection and after attempting to fix the problem for over a year; replacing the harddrive was the solution! Make sure you are running both virus and malware protection. And a thumbs up to the Geek Squad for fixing this for us.

I thought Windows 8.1 was the cause of my 23" touchscreen All In One I5 8gb 1tb 5400 rpm hdd system's slow & buggy performance. Turns out the culprit was a terribly slow hard drive (1tb 5400 rpm hdd). Once I replaced it with this Seagate sshd, the system became lightening fast - what a difference! The system used to lose the wireless connection when in sleep mode & would freeze & take forever to boot up & start all the applications. Now it takes only 20 seconds or so from power-on to where all applications that are in the start folder have initialized & are running. The wireless connections no longer are lost after wake-up from sleep mode, & browser response is very fast as well! It was worth every penny I paid for it & worth the effort of figuring out how to take the back cover off the All In One & remove & replace the HDD w/ the SSHD. The free software from Seagate (for transferring the HDD system software, apps & data to the SSHD) did not work - you'd be better off buying transfer software (eg. Paragon hdd to ssd transfer software or disk director). I am now using the old 1tb hdd drive as a backup drive! p.s. it took about 10 re-boots for the sshd embedded software to determine what to keep in cache for fast boot-ups - now it reliably boots very quickly & stays fast through multiple sleep periods.

If you are considering a new, larger drive for your PS4, this is a good choice. It doubled my storage space and is much faster than my original drive. The installation was very easy and it didn't take as long to initialize and copy back my files as I feared it would. Really happy I bought this, it's improved the performance of my Playstation.

Bought this to upgrade my PS4 HDD. Doubled the space and got a slight boost to load times.

Bought this when it was on sale for $95 and was looking at getting something a little bigger for my laptop. I jumped on this and a Samsung - 840 EVO 250GB SSD. Since this is used as a secondary HD i don't really see any speed increases w/ the 8GB SSD. I have done research and if used as a prim drive does increase performance VS regular HDs. Instillation was simple, i use this HD for downloads and games that have continuous updates. Everything is working great so far. This is my first Seagate and i have heard great things about them.
