It works for my PS4. It's noticeably faster than the stock HDD. I installed the drive, installed the OS, and played FarCry Primal for about 4 hours straight. No issues.

I needed more space for games on my PS4 and this was an easy install. It starts up quicker since it is a hybrid of a Solid State Drive and Hard Disc Drive (SSHD). The gameplay has been smooth and no problems transferring over game data. Sony has the instructions on their website for the transfer. The price is great for more space and quicker startups

Bought this to increase my storage since the original 500gb disk was full. Doubled my storage space AND got a lot faster performance. Transitions between areas in Borderlands 2 is much faster. Very happy.

Put this into my MId 2009 13" Macbook Pro. I had 160 HDD before and was getting full and pretty slow. I bought an external hard drive enclosure to put this in, cloned my current drive to it with free trial software (CCC) and used ifixit to add the new drive. It was honestly a piece of cake. I was going to upgrade from 4gb to 8gb of RAM. I'm honestly going to return the RAM because this has done so much for the speed. Your applications are stored on the 8GB solid portion which make the quicker to access. Spend the 130 and its like you have a whole new computer.

I've had this hybrid drive for few months now and still works great. I installed it on a dell xps studio m1640 from 2010 and gave it new life , I reinstalled Windows 10 from a usb drive I had installed on old drive. Load times are a lot faster with the 8 gb ssd. I imagine the newer 32 gb hybrids are better but also cost more. I'm still deciding to get this or a 1TB with 32 go ssd hybrid for my ps4 , I might just put that money into the ps vr instead. But wondering whether the vr plays 3D blu rays in stereoscopic mode and not just cinematic mode with no actual 3D pop.

Not only did the drive breathe new life into my white late 2009 macbook coupled with a ram upgrade from 4gb to 8gb it made my laptop like new. Now as to why seagate is a lifesaver drive started acting up I didnt buy yhe warranty so after a year of use I callef seagate and told them I was starting get the signs of a hard drive failure.... my drive kept crashing and I would fix it with disj warrior but I was only prolonging the inevitable. I starting looking for a new drive cause I thought I was screwed. For no particular reason I decided to check into the warranty replacement and to my surprise this drive had a 3 year warranty ..... 3 YEARS WOW without hesitation they arranged for a drive yo be send to me.... its scheduled for delivery this friday. If you need to buy a new drive and dont want to sownd ssd kinda money get this drive but mire important get a seagate drive. They restored a lik faith in me that a company will stand by its product and make things right. If more companies did this it wouldbt be easier to retain customers. I would gladly pay more for a seagate drive now knowing that they stand not only beside thier product, but firmly beside thier product. Keep up the good work seagate.

I have always been a Western Digital customer. I haven't bought a hard drive in 10 years. My laptop is 10 years old and was running out of room and was very slow. I bought 2 of these drives and did a fresh install of my windows 7 OS. The boot times are crazy fast compared to my old 500gb Seagate 7200rpm. I was really nervous about the rpm rating of this but I didn't want to spend more than $200 bucks and I'm happy I didn't spend more. It's plenty fast for my use which is viewing storing pictures and videos and surfing the web. Some reviews said their drives have failed quickly. Make sure to backup your stuff on a few drives and keep them safe.

My computer was very sluggish before I switched it out with this 1tb ssd now it seems like I just turned it on for the first time definitely recommended.

Seagate is the main manufacturer of drives so I figured to be safe with this drive. Not! I purchased it but was only able to install it after I returned home. It worked fine, I transferred data to it and suddenly it dropped its format - what Seagate calls a "logical failure". The data that had been written to it - in the process - was not backed up because it was still in the process. Seagate - oddly unhelpful. Telling me to run Windows Scandisk when I had told them it was recognized as "unformatted" and, by Seagates program, something akin to 7+TB in size! Maybe I got more than expected! The recommendation by Seagate was then to buy their $100 program to get the data then RMA the drive. I asked for help in offsetting their price of the software since this would double the SSHD's cost they responded by saying they offered the software sell as a "courtesy only" and then changed the RMA to it not needing RMA'ed because it was a typical "logic failure". Most love this drive. I loved it while it worked. Of course that was measured in weeks and not months!

I found this on the shelf. The best of both worlds, speed and capacity.

Lots of storage. It's a little faster than my old hard drive. I will probably go with a straight up SSD next time though.

I just purchased a Seagate SSHD 1TB HD. It was easy to clone my original 160gb WD to the New Seagate HD. I just had to open my windows 10 desktop pc disconnect the BD drive and connect the SSHD on it. Boot the pc and download the free Seagate cloning software and follow the instruction it took about 20 minutes.

Bought this to expand my hard drive space on my PS4. Not only did this double my space, but it also runs faster as well. It hard drive makes a lot less noise as well. This was a great buy! Highly recommend it for PS4 users.

Put it into my PS4 and works awesome, cool that it is a hybrid drive so i can tell the difference when it boots up. Easy to install and good size.

This was recommended to me by a customer who had purchased the seagate 750GB hybrid drive. The price of this made it really a no-brainer purchase. My startup time went from 54 seconds to 23 seconds. Need I say more. Don't need to but I will. :) My shutdown time varies, it used to take around 24 sec and still seems to but I predict that will decrease over time as I just installed this hard drive. Parallels on the other hand is blazing fast now as is iPhoto, aperture, and Lightroom. Iphoto and aperture esp would hang every time, now they open quickly in seconds. I notice that the fan runs quieter. I usually have a movie playing in the background and 10-15 different windows open. (hey I multi-task ;)) No longer a problem with this new hybrid drive.
