I bought this as a replacement for my laptop and it worked without any hassles. I was able to install it, put the OS on it, copy my files over and was ready to go. The Serial ATA III is backward compatible (it just slows down if you have SATA II or lower). Having that SS Hybrid is nice because the laptop does open frequently used programs and files quickly.

Good price and performance, good advertisement and reviews

Before I started up my PS4 for the first time, I knew I wanted to increase the memory first. I had enough in gift cards(thx X-mas) to get this or a 1.5 gig hard drive. I decided to go with this and use the rest of my gift card for other purchases. I am pleased with the results. I think this will last me a good while. I increased my PS3 to a 500gig hard drive when I got it and now I'm nearing maxing it out. I think I can do that with this as I have been gaming less and gotten more picky about which titles to buy. Time will tell.

This Drive is astonishing! I only wish It had the 32GB SSD paired with the 1TB HDD, I loved so much the improved speed and oppression on my PS4, I purchesed a second drive for my MAC BOOK PRO. Mid 2010. And it WORKS MIRCLES! Amazing drive I can't wait till the SSD of similar size are a comparable price. Wow. Get two just because.

great hard drive for the money . i have a 2010 mac that was going slower than a snail so i checked everything else and came down to it being the hard drive. was going to get a toshiba and then i noticed this one with built in with solid state drive and it worked like a charm. fast start up speeds and runs great ever since

this hard drive replaced the one in my laptop that was having issues. after a bit of research I found this one at Best Buy. Easy install, then took laptop to Microsoft Store to have Windows 10 reinstalled. so far I'm very satisfied with this hard drive. My laptop seems to run considerably faster.

I purchased this drive to replace the one in my 2011 MacBook Pro. I liked the hybrid approach because it gave me more speed but still a good amount of memory for the price. Easy to install with online how-to guidance.

The speed and capacity of this replacement hard drive for my 2011 MacBook Pro was amazing, compared to the original HD in my computer. The price was certainly right and it was very easy to install.

Simple to install, easy setup, superior performance.

I installed this drive into an external drive pack, then attached that to my computer. I placed information on it that I wanted to keep safe from predators, so when I don't need the information, I do an eject, disconnect and do what I need. When I do need the information, I reconnect the drive and it works like a charm.

At first I wasn't sure about programs / apps opening faster but the more I use them the more I notice them opening quite a bit faster than they used to. For example Evernote always seemed to be slow starting but now it opens quickly. If I had to upgrade another computer I would definitely use this hybrid drive.

I bought this HDD to replace the existing 750GB on my MBP as I am upgrading it to record music. This drive exceeded all of my expectations. I have been doing extensive research on both hybrid and SSD drives and I decided to go for this one because of the price, the features, the size and most of all the reviews. The installation only took me 5 minutes, give or take, and the installation of OS X was flawless. I'm even considering getting a second one to upgrade my PS4. If you want a high performing, high quality drive, don't look elsewhere; this is the drive to get.

For enterprise systems this is a good hybrid option. It is not as fast as full SSD, but the usable speed form it is plenty for most business use scenarios. Would have gotten a full SSD, but for a machine that does not need to be restarted or moved a lot this made more sense. The drive that was in it was an SSD, but it was always struggling to find the space.

I picked this up because my laptop took a spill last year and refused to boot up. I had been using a Chromebook, but it doesn't do everything I need. I wasn't sure what I was doing, or what I was going to need to install. Really easy to plug in. It took me forEVER to download and create the Free Win7 install key (btw, the win7 .iso is FREE. its the key you have to pay for if you don't have it already), but once I got that done I plugged it into my Sony Vaio and within an hour my laptop was up and running. This is the fastest I have ever had a laptop respond.

I replaced my 1TB 5400rpm notebook drive with this hybrid drive, and it is fantastic! My laptop boots much faster, and runs quicker than when I bought it new two years ago. I am very pleased, and I highly recommend this drive to anyone that needs or simply wants to replace their drive with a faster one.

Well at time of this review have had it about a day and so far it works great in my desktop computer, average boot up times were around 25-35 seconds no problems at all. If you plan to buy this for your desktop computer make sure you get a 2.5 inch adapter since it's SSD size overall great product for a new upgrade.
