Basically new HD and USB thumb drive for the default OS install. You have to manually move your saves and games so helps if you have PS+

Two terabytes is the perfect size for a Playstation 4 and it doesn't void your PlayStation warranty. Online are plenty of instructions on how to do it. Read all of them.

When 500 gb just won't cut it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.As you probably know, the PS4 comes with a 500 gb hard drive. You may have also heard that many games have huge installation files (Destiny needs just over 20 gb, for instance). What you might not know is that it is very easy to upgrade the hard drive in a PS4. All you need is a philips screw driver, a 2.5 inch laptop SATA hard drive, and a flash drive with the lastest version of the PS4 firmware on it. This hard drive works great. With 2 terabytes, you can store so many games. It may seem overkill, and it may seem expensive, but it's a good long term investment.

I Hope This Drive Lasts

It's a Seagate, and I've never had any luck with 3.5" Seagates, always making sure to run them in RAID 1. It's the only 2 TB SATA drive in this form factor, so I took a chance and put this in my laptop with an SSD as the primary drive. I had a Seagate in my old laptop and it did well, so I'm hopeful with this one. The speeds seem to be fine, and there are no bad sectors so far. I made sure to do a full format out of the box.

I would recommend for anyone looking to get a bigger drive
