Yes you may think this item is a great affordable alternative to a different drive ... but I used to build computers and this drive only lasted for 2 uses in my ps4 after that it would not read or write .. ended up returning the drive and getting a refurb I'm return ! .. Save your money and get a reliable wd drive

This drive lasted all of 4 boot ups and only about a total of 6hrs of run time before failing.. Not worth the hassle

Pre-ordered a lot of new games for my PS4 and felt some of them would be large installs. The Beta for Destiny is already 15GBs. And a leak earlier today showed The Last of US Remastered at 50GBs. Stock hard drive would get small pretty fast! Installed in under 15 minutes! Been using Seagate HDs for years. PS4 performance seems to be about the same except I have over 1800GBs of storage after the OS and formatting is done! Thats a lot of games and now i won't have to worry about replacing the hard drive later after i have all these new games. Take care of an upgrade now before there's a run on new large games being released! Think about how big Destiny, Uncharted 4, Mass Effect 4, GTA 5, etc will be!!!

I used this to upgrade the HD in my ps4. Worked perfect. The performance is the same as the stock one on the ps4 but gives you so much more space.

This drive maxes out my laptop and gives me the speed and space to work on my projects.

I BOUGHT THIS TO UPGRADE MY PLAYSTATION 4 BECAUSE IT WAS OUT OF STORAGE SPACE. AND SOON AS GOT IT FROM UPS I POP IT IT IN MY PS4 AND INSTALLED THE CORRECT PS4 FIRMWARE ( TIP: BE SURE YOU DOWNLOAD THE RIGHT FIRMWARE THERE ARE TWO FOR SOME REASON) NOW ITS UP AND RUNNING. THE ONLY ISSUE I HAVE IS THAT IT MAKES A NOISE THAT MY PS4 NEVER MADE BEFORE. I THINK THE HARDWARE MIGHT BE LOOSE IN THE PS4. BUT MAYBE THAT BECAUSE I USED A KNIFE INSTEAD OF A SCREW DRIVER TO INSTALLED THE HARD DRIVE

I needed to replace my laptop hard drive with a much larger one to be able to get all of my music onto my laptop. I had no issues in mirroring the drive and transferring data.

I just picked this up when it went on sale to upgrade the storage on my PS4. Works amazing! I feel like it's a little faster than the standard but that's probably just me.

Easy install to increase storage for my ps4. Now I can download more games and do not have to delete games to make space. Performance has also increased

Purchased this 2TB drive to upgrade my 500GB PS4 and I couldn't be happier with it. Installation was easy and the drive works perfectly.

so today i purchase this @ BestBuy for $119 and have them match the price, i thought the replacing the 500 GB and install the update in USB flash drive was going to be hard, but it was breeze . so after the 2.0 update i have 1760 GB left .good buy Xbox one & hello PS4

I purchased this to upgrade my hard drive for the PS4. Installation was smooth and did not even have to format. Great price.

I went online and couldn't find a 2 TB, 2.5 inch that would fit the PS4. I saw this and had it delivered. I was very impressed by the fast delivery. Picked up Saturday, had to go online and find the newest PS4 firmware update, had to call PS4 customer service to deactivate a previous system and then installed. It is great, now I have almost double the memory for future games to come.

The 9.5 mm height works perfectly inside the PS4 drive cage. Sony has made the drive upgrade process quite painless, and now I don't have to delete a game on the PS4 every time I get another one. The price I paid at Best Buy was better than anywhere else for a 2 TB drive like this. Love the convenience.

I bought this after I saw someone's review on this site. it went in with no problem. If you use it for your PS4 you will have around 1850GB's left after you install the PS4 firmware.

This was my first hard drive install and went very smooth installing in a macbook pro.
