3TB for NAS
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I installed the drive in a NAS diskless device. At first, the device reported no drive. I removed the drive and checked it, then reinstalled. Same results, I thought I must have a bad drive, but I'll hook it to my laptop and check it. The drive appeared, but without a partition, so I created a partition and formatted it with NTFS, but no drive letter. Reinstalled it in the device, this time it reported a drive and wanted to format it. After that, everything was great. After a little bit, I accessed the drive from one of the servers to do a backup, I was surprised at the speed. Over all, after all the headaches, I was very pleased with the results.

My last Seagate hard drive was six years old and working perfectly but was smaller and slower. Everything changed over easily to this new drive.

Basically Plug and Play
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.If you're using windows 10 or an OS that has a GPT partitioning format, then all you have to do is plug this drive in and use the GPT formatting option.. Fairly simple. If you're using Windows 7, You can use the Seagate disk tools to activate over the 2 TB limit and get the full 3 TB. Although it will be split into two partitions on Win 7.

Seagate - Barracuda 3TB Internal Serial ATA Disk
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this to use for my computer backup drive, but the speed was so much faster then my old 1TB Western Digital hard drive, I upgraded my primary OS hard disk utilizing the Seagate - Barracuda 3TB Internal Serial ATA Hard Disk Drive. My computer boots so much faster and all of my applications execute faster. Totally love this product so I bought two!! :-)
